Bullets and kung-fu too
eraceheadd20 August 2001
make Mission Kill a slightly better than average Hong Kong action flick. The plot seems pretty simple at first: young woman cop + side kicks battle evil drug dealers and a team of deadly assassins, but with the help of Simon Yam, a few surprises are added to make the film that much more enjoyable. With an obviously low budget, the filmmakers were able to pull off some well choreographed action sequences involving good gun-play and strong kung-fu. Moon Lee is great as she kicks lots of butt and still adds some comic relief. If you have a mind for some low-budget, fun action, this film is worth a look.

Mission Kills or Mission of Condor
coltras3530 December 2022
When a police raid seize his supplies of illegal arms, a crime lord known as "The Lion" (Simon) decides to get even by sending out his most trusted lieutenants, Panther and Wild Cat, to eliminate the members of the police force responsible for the mission. Among the personnel involved in the mission is Inspector "Rose" Wang (Moon) and her cousin "Orchid" (Wong Yee-Kam note ), who must team up with FBI agent Stephen (Max) sent from the United States to assist the Hong Kong police to take down the Lion.

Mission Kills always seems to linger around in 3rd gear and never shifts into higher gears, well not till the end which features some wild action. Everything seems so sluggish. An okay movie, though, mainly because of the cute Moon Lee, who is on top form, kicking behind with abandonment. Simon Yam is cool as a villain who doesn't like his henchmen failing in their mission and even slices a finger off one girl, Fujimi Nadeki and Ken Lo are good as a killer couple in the service of Simon Yam.

I just watch this movie for the fights and the stunts

(2003) Angel Force (In Chinese with no English subtitles) ACTION/ COMEDY

Another one of those movies where it didn't have any English subtitles at the bottom so I have no idea what it's about, except that I liked what I saw in terms of the action and fights, which has some action scene influences on "Police Story III: Super Cop" with the only difference is that the one with Jackie Chan is filmed and choreographed better. Movie stars action heroine Moon Lee and company going after police corruption and assassins sent to execute witnesses for the prosecution! There's minimal wiring done, whenever Moon fights out of many stunts done. Some of the additional highlights include a man dangling on a helicopter few stories high before dropping himself to the water. There's some impressive fight scenes with Moon Lee who obviously was using pads on her arms to soften the hard blocking whenever punches and kicks were thrown, Moon riding a motorcycle to catch a killer, and there's also a army raid of some sort to save an important witness. And although, I don't totally understand it, I still thought it was quite good out of the low amount of money it had to deal with.
