Romance and Work

"Brenda Morgan" (Donna Mills) is a highly talented and successful lawyer in New York City who has put her legal vocation ahead of everything else and because of that she has never had the time to marry. Unfortunately, this preoccupation with business isn't shared by everyone as she has lost three talented secretaries within a year who have chosen to settle down and raise families instead. So with that in mind she begins to search for a new secretary who will be more focused on their career than on personal matters. But after interviewing one potential candidate after another she almost gives up when one particular person walks into her office who is not only energetic and extremely talented but also happens to be single-and male. And this creates its own unique set of problems in that they both happen to be quite lonely and share a certain chemistry with one another. Now rather than reveal any more I will just say that this was an okay film which suffers somewhat from its rather predictable plot. Even so, I enjoyed the performance of Donna Mills and for that reason I have rated this film accordingly. Average.
