On July 25th, 1990, as Roseanne Barr and Tom Arnold flew high above Jack Murphy Stadium, the San Diego Padres waited to face the Cincinnati Reds in the last of a four-game homestand. But before they would take the field, they would be graced with the presence of one of TV’s biggest stars performing the American National Anthem, “The Star-Spangled Banner.” As the helicopter neared, Arnold looked over the crowd of more than 25,000 and tried to convince his wife that maybe this wasn’t such a good idea. Soon before the first pitch, Roseanne belted her take on Francis Scott Key’s anthem, spit on the field and grabbed her crotch. It would be her most controversial moment…until decades later…
Let’s find out: Wtf Happened to…Roseanne Barr?
But to truly understand what the fuck happened to Roseanne Barr, we go back to the beginning. And the beginning...

When you’re a streaming service, there’s only one way to celebrate the New Year. And that’s by IP mining to bring back a franchise that had no business in coming back!
With its list of new releases for January 2022, Hulu is raiding CBS’s closet and premiering How I Met Your Father, a continuation of the sitcom How I Met Your Mother. Complaints about unnecessary rebooting aside, perhaps its worth giving the Hillary Duff starring series a chance. If nothing else, telling a story about 2022 from a future perspective might play well.
Aside from Himyf, there aren’t any other Hulu original series to speak of. Instead, Hulu is opting to once again beef up its film library. January 1 sees the arrival of Master and Commander, Seven, and a whole bunch of Star Treks. Hulu will also be the streaming home of some recently released film Indies,...

Exclusive: We have learned that Bruce Willis and John Travolta are starring together again for the first time in 27 years in the Chuck Russell-directed action pic Paradise City. Production starts this Monday in Maui, Hawaii.
Willis plays renegade bounty hunter, Ryan Swan, who must carve his way through the Hawaiian crime world to wreak vengeance on the kingpin, played by Travolta, who murdered his father. I’m told the project is billed as being similar to Miami Vice but with bounty hunters instead of cops. Thai actress and model Praya Lundberg has landed the lead female role.
Though Paradise City technically reps the fourth time that Willis and Travolta are billed on a movie together, they only worked onscreen in the 1994 Oscar-winning $214M-grossing Quentin Tarantino movie Pulp Fiction respectively as boxer Butch Coolidge and mob guy Vincent Vega. Check out their scene below from that pic. Prior to that...

A new year means a new start. But in its list of new year releases for January 2021, Hulu is sending a message of…eh, we’ll get the year started in February. Not to be overly rude to the usually sturdy streaming service, but there’s not much going on for Hulu in 2021’s first month.
Perhaps the biggest release of note is something that already enjoyed a successful release for ITV in the U.K. The Sister is the lates thriller from Neil Cross (Luther) and it makes its U.S. debut on Hulu on Jan. 22. 2020 comedies Save Yourselves and Like a Boss both arrive on Jan. 1. Hulu original film The Ultimate Playlist of Noise premieres on Jan. 15 and TV series Everyone is Doing Great arrives on Jan. 13.

Hulu is kicking off the new year in style next month, with January set to deliver a ton of fresh titles to the Disney-owned streaming service. There’s a bunch of original content landing throughout the first few weeks of 2021, but probably the highlight is the incredible number of classic movies that are going up on the site on New Year’s Day. Whether you’re in the mood for iconic comedies, dramas, animated efforts or sci-fi flicks, there’s something for you on the way.
There are well over 100 films being added to Hulu’s library on January 1st, so let’s just pick out a few notable titles. The full Austin Powers trilogy is among them, and if you can’t get enough of Mike Myers, the first Shrek likewise becomes available. For dramas, there’s Robert Downey Jr. biopic Chaplin, Johnny Depp vehicle Donnie Brasco and Jim Carrey’s The Truman Show.

Kirstie Alley isn’t saying no to another Look Who’s Talking sequel.
On Wednesday, the actress appeared on The Talk where she was asked by co-host Sheryl Underwood if she and John Travolta would ever do another sequel to their classic 1989 film.
“John and I, we both really want to do it, because we think it’s funny that we’re the grandparents,” Alley, 69, said.
“Our kids will be ugly so that we’ll still be the stars, but the grandkids can be really cute,” she joked. “But we don’t know what’s happening. We heard a rumor they were doing it,...

Screen Gems is angling to reboot '80s classic Look Who’s Talking for modern audiences.
Look Who's Talking is in line for the reboot treatment at Sony Pictures’ Screen Gems. Via Deadline, Jeremy Garelick (The Wedding Ringer) is attached to write and direct the project.
Amy Heckerling's original 1989 TriStar rom-com starred Kirstie Alley and John Travolta as mismatched pair Mollie and James, who fall in love after meeting accidentally when heavily pregnant Mollie catches a ride in James' cab to the hospital to give birth. Mollie has been having an affair with married exec and total garbage man Albert (George Segal), who doesn't want much to do with her or their baby. In the film, Bruce Willis voiced the internal monologue of their sprog, Mikey, to give the audience a perspective on how life and love looks to a fresh member of the human race.

What a confession! While appearing on the reality TV show Celebrity Big Brother UK, Kirstie Alley candidly opened up about her longtime friendship with John Travolta — and revealed she once "ran off and married" him! "I think I kissed Travolta. I almost ran off and married John. I did love him, I still love him. If I hadn’t been married I would’ve gone and married him and I would’ve been in an airplane because he has his own plane," the 67-year-old actress said. Kirstie and John, 64, have been close for years, mostly due to their shared involvement with Scientology. They've also co-starred in three movies together: 1989's Look Who's Talking, 1990's Look Who's Talking Too, and 1993's Look Who's Talking Now. (Photo Credit: Getty Images) During a 2013 interview with Howard Stern, Kirstie also spoke out about her relationship with John and said he also had romantic feelings...

From a range of eras and genres, here's Jenny and Alex's light-hearted pick of 50 great opening title sequences from the movies...

We don’t go to the cinema much, because we hate people. We also don’t go because there’s always the risk of accidentally going to see the wrong film. It's not helped by the fact that there's no way of telling until it’s too late, because there are no bloody opening credits on lots of modern films. And by the time you do realise, you’ve eaten all your popcorn and you can’t be bothered to move.
The movies on this list won’t give you that problem. These opening credits are perfect scene setters for the movies that follow, so you won’t have to worry about awkward popcorn wasting moments. It's not a top 50, rather a selection of 50 interesting credits sequences,...

A mother-of-one has revealed that she is scared of toilets after developing a strange phobia in her childhood. Ney Decino, 20, is so terrified of going alone for fear she will be swallowed up, and makes family members pull the handle for her. She explained that her phobia developed when she was 4 years old after watching the 1990 film Look Who's Talking Too, starring John Travolta and Kirstie Alley. The film features a scene about potty training where a blue, furry character with sharp teeth called 'The Toilet Man' shouts when it wants a child's urine. The carer from Church Village, Mid Glamorgan recalled: "When I was about 11, I wet myself on my way home because I wouldn't use the loo at school." Decino's phobia means she has to work close to home, so she can use her own toilet when she needs to go - the only one she feels safe using.

Like you had any doubt that the Farrelly brothers could come up with something cleverer than "Dumb and Dumberer"?

The officially endorsed sequel to "Dumb and Dumber" already has its original directors and cast on board, and now is close to having a script as well. Here's a look back at the third weekend of December through the years: 5 Years Ago - 2005 King Kong swung into theaters with $50.1 million over the weekend (for a $66.2 million five-day launch), which was big but not commensurate with the hype, especially in light of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe's larger opening the weekend before. In second, Narnia retreated 51 percent to $31.8 million, whle The Family Stone debuted to a solid $12.5 million in third. * Weekend Report: 'King Kong' Mighty But No Monster 10 Years Ago - 2000 What Women Want knew what audiences wanted, raking in $33.6 million. That was the highest-grossing December opening yet, topping Scream 2, and was the second highest-grossing ever for a romantic comedy, behind Runaway Bride. Dude, Where's My Car? started in second with a sweet $13.85 million, while How the Grinch Stole Christmas was right behind with $13.8 million in its fifth weekend.

Today Universal released Get Him to the Greek, a sort-of sequel to 2008's Forgetting Sarah Marshall as it uses Aldous Snow who had a small role in the original. Beyond that, there is only a brief reference to Sarah Marshall, which has me thinking it's not really a sequel as much as it is a spin-off. The same could be said for a movie like Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back (2001)... Same characters, but not really a sequel to Clerks, which ended up having its own sequel in 2006.
In a debate with a group of fellow Seattle critics trying to decide if Get Him to the Greek was a sequel to Forgetting Sarah Marshall or not, the topic turned to comedy sequels in general and I was asked to name a great comedy sequel. Should be easy... right?
