The recording of Bernie's and Paulie's phone conversation is different from the original. Paulie's "Uh huh!" is missing.

Bernie is dropped over the side of the deck, next to the house and is later swept out by the tide. Later shots show a dune between the ocean and the house, revealing that the tide does not come up that high.

At the restaurant, Tina eats the olive from her martini. In the next shot, and for the rest of the meal, the olive is back in the glass.

When Gwen and Richard are lying on the beach kissing, a wave washes up and wets Gwen's hair. When she sits up, her hair and clothes are dry.

On the rooftop at Larry and Richard's workplace, Larry sits in an inflatable pool, takes his socks off, and throws them on the ground. The right sock moves, and disappears in one shot.

When Larry and Richard are getting lunch at a food stand, they see Bernie entering a building with the entrance awning reading East 70th Street. When Larry and Richard begin walking down the street, a sign behind them reads 52nd Street. Larry and Richard must have had extremely powerful vision if they were able to see Bernie from 18 blocks away.

Richard is shown wearing a wedding ring during the movie. He isn't married as he is trying to date Gwen. However, he may have once been married but then his wife died or he got divorced, and he kept the ring.

When the 'boys' are transferring Bernie from the golf cart to the boat, Bernie's hands clench and open..

When Larry and Richard are in the empty office on Saturday, the computers on the desks are missing their power cords.

The unconscious guy in the closet puts his feet up so the door can be closed.

Bernie occasionally blinks his eyes and shows other signs of life.

When Larry is rolling Bernie down the ramp in the cart and Bernie falls back and bumps his head on all the decking boards, a brace is visible behind Bernie's head to prevent the actor actually bumping his head on the boards.

When Larry and Richard are trying to get Bernie's boat moving, Larry gives full throttle on the boat, but the tachometer indicates zero, meaning the engine is not really running.

When Richard and Larry arrive at Bernie's house, they are both clean shaven. But the following morning after the big party and Richard sleeping until 11:30am, he suddenly has developed a visible and dark "5 o'clock" shadow beard while Larry is still clean shaven. For Richard to have that kind of stubble, at least a few days would've had to pass but it's only less than 24hrs later.

When Bernie's girlfriend goes to his bedroom to have sex with him, assuming they did after she comes downstairs to smoke a cigarette and tells Larry and Richard it was the best sex ever, it is quite impossible that Bernie satisfied her, being dead with all his organs not functioning after his demise.

When Tina walks down the stairs after being with Bernie, she sings, but her lips never move.

As Larry and Richard are walking past one of the guards in the beginning of the movie, the guard asks if its hot enough and Larry replies, but their lips don't move.

When Larry is talking about drugs, his lip movements don't match his voice.

When Larry is commenting on Bernie's drug habit, with his back to the camera, he says, "I watch 20/20, I know the statistics." When he turns his face to the side, he is still speaking, but his lips aren't moving.

When the boys find the case and the letter, Richard is reading the letter and Larry grabs it. It refers to Bernie and Richard Parker. Larry's reaction is that this is making him (Larry) look like a drag queen. But he's not Richard. He's Larry.
