Sex & Nudity

  • A drunken clown makes an incidental reference to "dildo jokes."
  • A man talks affectionately about nicknaming a woman's body parts on her answering machine, referring to her "boobs", "dimples on your buns", and ending with "And Felix! Felix is what we called your..." He is cut off by the sound of a cat meowing. Innuendo that will likely fly over the heads of most kids.
  • A teenage boy and teenage girl, are on a bed. The boy takes off the girl's pants (despite her asking him not to). The girl's knickers and the top of her bare leg are briefly visible as the boy starts to take off her pants. In the next shot, the boy has completely removed the girls pants and is holding her down with her bare legs fully visible, but a grown man walks in and prevents the boy from assaulting the girl. Scene ends.
  • A younger brother asks his older sister "waiting for your sex?"
  • There is a scene where a woman walks in on Buck tries to get the laundry machine's door open and is seen and heard through a door without much context and is played out as a "sex scene" with many vulgar sexual innuendos.
  • A much older man tries to entice a teenager to come out to his vehicle with him so he can show her what it does. When she pretends to lose her voice he tells her he has a cure for that. (This will most likely fly over kids heads when watching.)
  • A teenage boy (named Bug), trying to get a teenage girl, to have sex with him, is the sub plot of this movie.
  • A passionate kiss or two, between teenage high school students.

Violence & Gore

  • Buck has a large bowling ball fall from a closet rack onto his head. He is not seriously hurt and it's implied to be comedic.
  • Tia in the beginning montage after letting her brother and sister into the house is seen slapping her brother upside the head once.
  • Miles in the introductory scene describes being chased home by an older bully and "railed on with a shoe".
  • Chanise does a karate kick to a door and knocks Buck unconscious. This is intended to be humorous.
  • Buck threatens people, especially Bug, first saying he will become a "ritual killing" and then driving rapidly away to the point where Tia accuses him of "almost taking Bug's head off!" and later on at a gathering, Buck arrives to pick up Tia and threatens Bug with a hatchet shown on-screen, saying he's got it in his car "not to kill, just to maim! Maybe shave a little off the ol' kneecap...". Buck also threatens to shave Tia's head while she sleeps.
  • A minor character called "Pal" is seen with bloody scars all over his lips, implied to be the result of a toothpick he constantly chews on. The toothpick gets stuck between his lips in one scene and he has to use his fingers to physically remove it.
  • Buck threatens a mean principal with "I'm comin' looking for you..." and then throws a coin at her, telling her to "take this quarter, go downtown, and have a rat gnaw that thing off your face!" referring to a large noticeable wart on the teacher's face.
  • It is mentioned that Buck unintentionally gave "the blue toilet water that's not good for him" to the family dog, Percy (poisonous chemical water used to clean the toilets, likely ammonia) and that when the dog goes out for a pee, it is now starting to discolor the lawn.
  • Most of this is intended to be comical but....Uncle Buck punches a drunk clown a few times. Uncle Buck gets maced by a woman who thinks he is a rapist. Uncle Buck comically threatens a jerk teenager with a hatchet and a power drill and later locks him in a trunk and later hits him with golf balls. Some other slapstick here and there.

Profanity

  • One use of "piss-ant".
  • 2 uses of asshole
  • 13 uses of shit.
  • Two uses of goddamn and damn.
  • One use of dickhead.
  • At least two uses of son of a bitch.
  • One crude remark is made by a kid about a babysitters dog being a ball sniffer.
  • A teen boy tells Uncle Buck that he's going to saw his balls off.
  • 5 use of ass.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Buck is implied to be an alcoholic and chronic chain-smoker, and is often seen in the Russell's family room surrounded by beer bottles.
  • Percy (the family dog) drinks beer from a bowl and Buck offers him "a little pretzel with your beer).
  • There is teen drinking at a party.
  • Uncle Buck smokes a cigar and drinks beer through a big portion of the movie.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • When Chanice is outside the Russell house trying to get an answer, Miles (left home without an adult) looks out through the mail slot and sees three villainous looking men peering back at him. Though this is in his imagination, it may unexpectedly startle some viewers.
