Sex & Nudity

  • In Mexico, a woman in a brothel takes boy upstairs. She removes her dress and breasts are seen. She removes her underwear and pubic hair is shown. Boy is fully clothed . Scene lasts 1-2 mins.

  • Soldiers enter a home to see a family got in the way of an attack, very graphic injuries can be seen. Missing limbs, large gunshot wounds, lots of blood. There are shots focused on the injuries, can be frightening for some viewers.

  • There are dead bodies on the floor after a village is massacred, graphic amounts of blood is seen but the scene is done in a blurry POV style of camera work that reduces the impact.

  • A man is shot in the neck and back, and then paralysed.
  • In a hospital we see lots of soldiers with bloody wounds, although once again the POV camera work is used.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The various battles are a little intense as well as frightening.
  • Most of the film is about the psychological and physical aftermath of a wounded man's experience in the Vietnam conflict. Hence, the entire movie is very intense.
