Sex & Nudity

- While relatively uncommon, some episodes discuss sex crimes such as rape, pedophilia, and child molestation.
- Nudity on the show is mostly limited to naked babies. Nothing explicit is ever shown.
Violence & Gore

- Some episodes do involve people being injured or shot with guns. These are (mostly) re-enactments and the shows do not generally show any gory, explicit violence on camera.
Profanity

- As many of these are re-enactments, bad language is kept to a comfortable minimum.
Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

- Some stories do involve the dangers of alcohol and drugs. However this show is fully intended to show the negative consequences of abusing these items, not to glorify them in any manner.
Frightening & Intense Scenes

- Some scene of tragedy events could get upsetting, frightening, intense, and emotional to some viewers especially for those who witless it.
- The show does feature a number of people (including children) in frightening, dangerous situations. However the stories generally have "happy endings" and most victims are able to recover and move on with their lives.
- Occasionally a story will end in tragedy and a person or persons will pass away (these episodes are not common but do exist., the majority of the episodes end positively.)

Frightening & Intense Scenes
- People are shown being involved in car crashes, animal attacks, severe burns, bloody injuries, etc. Victims covered in blood are sometimes shown. A bear is blown off of a telephone pole and falls off.
- One of the most intense segments is about domestic abuse: 'Christina's Call'. It recounts how a 7-year-old girl and sibling witness their mother being stabbed multiplied times following a heated argument with her husband, whom she's divorcing. Luckily, the mother survives. However, the intense real sounds on the 911 call are of a woman being attacked and her children screaming from panic. Very disturbing.
