Diablo 4 Dev Eases the Grind With a Cheat Sheet to the Best Path for Farming Coveted Season 7 Uniques
Image
Getting Mythic and Unique items in Diablo 4 is one of the best ways to power up in the game. These are both incredibly potent drops but equally difficult to acquire. However, once you get them, you can add these to your endgame build and use them to greatly improve your class builds.

Diablo 4‘s Season 7 has been released on January 21, 2025. | Credit: Blizzard Entertainment.

The best method of farming Uniques in Diablo 4 is to beat the endgame bosses that are dispersed throughout the map. More Uniques have been released by the developers with the latest updates, but unlike previous times, Diablo 4‘s Global Director of Community took to Twitter to let players know where to get them most easily.

10 Ways Star Wars Has Improved Rise Of Skywalker In The Last Five Years
Image
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker may very well be the single most controversial addition to Star Wars' movies and TV shows, but Star Wars has made improvements to the movie in the 5 years since it was released. Although the sequel trilogy in general proved unpopular, with many still viewing them as some of Star Wars' worst movies, The Rise of Skywalker was easily the most heavily criticized. This was due in large part to the movie's many plot twists, most notably the reveal that Emperor Palpatine had "somehow" returned.

There were a host of other complaints lobbed at The Rise of Skywalker, including about Rey choosing the last name Skywalker, the death of Leia Organa (which was sadly necessitated by the real-life passing of Carrie Fisher), and the at times nonsensical nature of the plot on Exegol. While there were problems with the sequel trilogy, the movies are not irreparable.

Sith, Jedi, Palpatine Clone? The 6 Most Exciting Theories About Jude Law's Star Wars Character
Image
Jude Law is finally joining the beloved galaxy far, far away in Star Wars: Skeleton Crew - and here are the most exciting theories about just who his character could really be. It's strange how history repeats itself; when Jude Law made his MCU debut as the villainous Yon-Rogg in Captain Marvel, Marvel Studios originally tried to hide his true identity by pretending he was the superhero Mar-Vell. Six years later, Law is officially joining the Star Wars galaxy, and his character's true identity is a mystery.

Officially, Jude Law is playing the part of "Jod Na Nawood," a key character in Star Wars: Skeleton Crew who helps a bunch of kids who've gotten lost in the Star Wars galaxy. Although he was initially believed to be a Jedi, the evidence is building that there's something else going on; he notably doesn't have a lightsaber (not even with the action...

Star Wars Confirms The True Beginning Of Palpatine's "Project Necromancer" Cloning Experiments
Image
In the years and stories following 2019's Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, the Star Wars franchise has worked to explain how Emperor Palpatine's resurrection came to be with Project Necromancer. First identified in The Mandalorian season 3, Project Necromancer has since been fleshed out in Star Wars: The Bad Batch season 3, identifying Doctor Royce Hemlock as the lead scientist responsible for figuring out how Palpatine could make his return from the dead via cloning. The timeline of this project, however, has remained in flux - but its starting point has at last been identified.

In the new Star Wars Encyclopedia, it's revealed that Palpatine sought to begin his cloning contingency plan for survival partway through the events of The Bad Batch, putting things into motion around the time Kamino was destroyed by Vice Admiral Edmon Rampart. Using Rampart as his scapegoat, Palpatine was able to secretly appoint Hemlock as the...

Grand Admiral Thrawn: The 10 Most Exciting Theories For His Star Wars Return After Ahsoka Season 2
Image
Grand Admiral Thrawn has returned after Ahsoka, and here are the ten most exciting theories about his return. The end of Ahsoka saw Anakin Skywalker's former Padawan fail in her mission to prevent Grand Admiral Thrawn returning to the main Star Wars galaxy. Fortunately, her ally Ezra Bridger hitched a ride on Thrawn's flagship, the Chimaera, and he's therefore given the New Republic warning. Still, Thrawn's return undoubtedly heralds a new era of Imperial terror.

Thrawn has now been positioned as the main villain of The Mandalorian era, mirroring his importance to Star Wars Legends - where Timothy Zahn's popular "Thrawn trilogy" brought the franchise back in a big way in the '90s. The only alien to ascend to the rank of Grand Admiral in the Imperial military, in canon Thrawn was considered one of only two Imperial strategists who could have prevented the Rebel Alliance winning the Galactic Civil War.

‘The Lord of the Rings’ cast: Who has contended at the Emmys?
Image
“The Lord of the Rings” is the most successful film series in the history of the Academy Awards, winning 17 Oscars including two Best Picture awards out of 30 total nominations.

Both “The Fellowship of the Ring” and “The Return of the King” won Best Picture while Peter Jackson won Best Director for the latter movie, which holds the joint record for most Oscar wins of all time with 11 victories (the same number as “Ben-Hur” and “Titanic”). However, the lauded trilogy only received one acting citation — that was for Ian McKellen for Best Supporting Actor for “The Fellowship of the Ring.”

But while the Oscars didn’t nominate nearly enough actors in this trilogy (shout out to Andy Serkis), “The Lord of the Rings” cast is full of incredible actors who have received multiple awards nominations for other projects. Considering it is Emmys season, we’re going to focus on Emmys.

The Best Classes To Use In Diablo 4 Season 5, Ranked
Image
Diablo 4 is bringing far more changes to the sandbox than expected, especially given the shorter length of Season 5. However, this is great news for players looking to get back into the game before the Vessel of Hatred expansion releases in Season 6. Blizzard has made massive changes for each class, such as substantially buffing skills and nerfing some outliers.

While this list may categorize some classes over others, that is in no way to say that any classes are not viable to play this season. However, some options may be more appealing if you are trying to reach high endgame levels. The class you choose is incredibly important, as it will influence what items and aspects you grind for throughout the season. While the community is still determining the meta, Blizzard's changes are visible to all.

All of this is subject to change as the season progresses, as the community discovers new build options and synergies.

This article contains spoilers for "Star Wars: The Acolyte" episode 7: "Choice."

It felt like a foregone conclusion that "The Acolyte" would be returning to the secret past of the planet Brendok and the events that led the twins Osha and Mae, as well as the other characters, onto their destined paths. In the third episode, "Destiny", we were introduced to this earlier timeline and only given bits of information about what happened. We were also provided with some tantalizing hints about what could possibly be going on with the planet, the Jedi, and the twins themselves, along with their mysterious circumstances. However, after the latest episode, it's apparent that Brendok, Mae, and Osha might all mean far more to the broader "Star Wars" mythos than we realized ... and one path leads directly to the doorstep of Darth Sidious.

Diablo 4 Necromancers Should Avoid Build-Breaking New Feature
Image
Non-Minion Necromancers in Diablo 4 are frustrated by pet companions hindering their best builds. Necromancers can't equip pets due to the companions being coded as minions, affecting popular end-game builds. Blizzard is working on a fix for the pet bug, promising Non-Minion Necromancers a future solution.

While most Diablo 4 players were excited to see the introduction of pets, Necromancers have been feeling left out as the adorable companions are breaking one of the classes' best builds. Added as a part of the game's fourth season, the arrival of four-legged friends has been praised by many who felt that pets should have been a part of Blizzard's Aprg since launch given the system's popularity in Diablo 3. They may have joined the party a touch late but it's still good to know that pets are here to stay, unless you're a Non-Minion Necromancer.

Per Game Rant, YouTuber Seroc Ifkre notes that Necromancers who...

Star Wars Reveals The Horrific Fate Of One Prequel Trilogy Alien Race
Image
The tragic fate of the Kaminoan people from the prequel trilogy has finally been confirmed in a new Star Wars book. The Secrets of the Clone Troopers reveals that the Kaminoans are now extinct, likely due to an Imperial attack on Kamino. The Empire's need to eliminate the Kaminoans due to their cloning expertise led to their demise in the galaxy.

A new Star Wars book confirmed the tragic fate of one prequel trilogy-era alien race, making a plotline from Star Wars' movies and TV shows even more brutal. While the original Star Wars trilogy introduced numerous alien species, from Jawas to Hutts, the prequel trilogy added still more and fleshed them out considerably, even including some among the ranks of Star Wars' most powerful Jedi. However, one alien race from the prequel trilogy had a heartbreaking demise, which has only been confirmed now, nearly two decades after the release...

The Bad Batch Season 3 Dodged A Bullet With Omega's Star Wars Story
Image
The Bad Batch season 3 concluded without focusing on Force sensitivity, keeping the spotlight on the clones' stories. Omega's potential Jedi path was hinted at but not explored, allowing for future storytelling outside The Bad Batch. Star Wars wisely avoided making The Bad Batch about the Force, prioritizing the clones' journey instead.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch season 3 concluded beautifully, avoiding one Star Wars trend that would have weakened the plot. The Bad Batch season 3 started with a bang, revealing critical new details about Project Necromancer and Emperor Palpatine's resurrection plans, which included using clones like Omega for experiments to create Force-sensitive clones. However, as season 3 was the final season of the show, it also needed to bring an end to Clone Force 99's Star Wars stories.

For much of the season, it looked as though that end would be a grim one, as the Bad Batch team spent almost...

Warning! This article contains Spoilers for Star Wars: The Bad Batch season 3, episode 15. The planet Wayland remains crucial for future Star Wars stories despite Mount Tantiss' shutdown. Hemlock's research continued after his death, as Project Necromancer was a major part of the era of The Mandalorian. Palpatine's Thirst For Revenge Undermined The Death Star In The Most Bizarre Way

Palpatine's thirst for revenge led him to destroy all his enemy's lightsabers, showing the extent of his evil deeds. The Kyber crystals within lightsabers, if not destroyed by Palpatine, could have quickened the Death Star's construction. Palpatine's need for revenge may have ultimately delayed the unveiling of the Death Star, leading to his downfall in the original trilogy.

10 Reasons Rey Is Absolutely Not A Mary Sue
Image
Rey Skywalker has been accused of being a Mary Sue, a character who is overly powerful and skilled with little explanation. There are several reasons why Rey can't be considered a Mary Sue, and Star Wars has done a good job of explaining how she became so powerful. Rey also doesn't fit the Mary Sue criteria because she isn't a perfect hero: she has many flaws and faced several problems that she couldn't immediately solve.

Rey Skywalker received huge backlash for having unjustified power in the Star Wars sequel trilogy, but in reality, she couldn't be further from a "Mary Sue." Rey was one of the most powerful Jedi ever, and as such, she had a huge effect on the Star Wars movies. It seems her strength, and her importance to the franchise, will only continue to grow, considering she will be the main character of the upcoming New Jedi Order movie.

By bringing reinforcements from Tantiss, the operative ensured he burned down all escape routes the batch might have opted for and continued forcing the residents of the village to give Omega up. At the end, unwilling to let others suffer for her, Omega decided to surrender herself, asking Crosshair to use this opportunity to track her so they could learn the location of Tantiss, which would allow the batch to rescue not only her but all the captive Clones.

However, the task is easier said than done,...

Did Star Wars Just Retcon Cad Bane's Story? The Bounty Hunter's Latest Star Wars Cameo Explained
Image
Warning! This post contains Spoilers for Star Wars: The Bad Batch season 3, episode 10.

Cad Bane once criticized Boba Fett for working with the Empire, which seemed to imply that he had never done so himself. The Bad Batch season 3 showed Bane working with the Empire on Project Necromancer, though, but that didn't actually retcon his story. Bane never claimed to be better than Boba, so his decision to work with the Empire didn't contradict what he said.

Cad Bane's appearance in Star Wars: The Bad Batch season 3 seemingly contradicted something he said in The Book of Boba Fett, but it wasn't a retcon; it actually fit his character perfectly. Cad Bane was one of the best bounty hunters in Star Wars, partly due to how many jobs he took over the course of his career. Throughout the timeline of The Clone Wars, Bane became incredibly prolific. He fought Jedi, killed Senators,...

Star Wars Confirms One Surprising Clone Wars Villain Was Crucial To Palpatine's Return
Image
Warning! This post contains Spoilers for The Bad Batch season 3, episode 10, "Identity Crisis"

Cad Bane played a vital role in Project Necromancer for Palpatine's resurrection plans. Bane collected high m-count Force-sensitive children for the Empire's secret efforts. With a clear lack of morality and willingness to kidnap countless children, Bane proved himself as a trusted professional to the Empire. He likely would have been a candidate to kidnap Rey for Palpatine had Bane been alive.

Star Wars confirms that a popular Clone Wars villain played a crucial role in Palpatine's resurrection plans. As seen in The Bad Batch season 3, the dawn of Project Necromancer is being revealed. This includes the collection of various subjects with high midi-chlorian counts who are being studied in the hopes of finding a viable blood sample for clone host bodies. To that end, the infamous bounty hunter Cad Bane has been revealed as a key...

‘Bad Batch’ Season 3 Episodes 10 & 11 Recap And Ending Explained: Can The Batch Rescue Omega From Tantiss?
Image
Imperial forces finally catch up to the Batch in their pursuit of Omega, and as the final season of Bad Batch nears its end, the stage gets set up for a grand final conflict between the renegade Clone Troopers and the forces of the tyrant Galactic Empire. Previously, an Imperial covert Clone operative managed to track Omega at Captain Rex’s rebel Clone outpost along with the rest of the batch and almost managed to capture her, destroying much of Rex’s forces in the process. The same operative returns in the latest two episodes of the series, once again causing much headache to the Batch through his machinations.

In the previous episode, the legendary Force user/ bounty hunter Asajj Ventress sought out the Bad Batch in Pabu, as it was revealed that she was Fennec Shand’s contact who had inquired about Omega’s M-count information. Ventress’ past as...

Wait, Was Even Grand Moff Tarkin In The Dark About Palpatine's Resurrection?
Image
Warning! This post contains Spoilers for Star Wars: The Bad Batch episode season 3, episode 10

Tarkin is unaware of Project Necromancer on Tantiss which has been kept classified even from the high-ranking Grand Moff. Palpatine's distrust of those within the Empire's ranks led to hiding the project, with Hemlock overseeing it without Tarkin getting to know the details. Grand Morr Tarkin may eventually discover the truth when and if Hemlock is defeated by Clone Force 99, possibly gaining control of the project himself.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch has revealed that Grand Moff Tarkin was intentionally kept in the dark regarding Emperor Palpatine's resurrection plans. With the work having already begun during the Dark Times, Palpatine's Project Necromancer is currently being overseen by the Advanced Science Divisions' Doctor Royce Hemlock. To that end, it seems as though Hemlock no longer has to answer to Grand Moff Tarkin despite his high ranking within the established Imperial hierarchy.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 3 Is Following George Lucas' Most Important Rule To The Letter
Image
Palpatine hunts Omega in Bad Batch, a key to Project Necromancer. Ventress trains Omega in the Force, paralleling Grogu's journey. George Lucas' poetry rule evident in storytelling of Star Wars series.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch season 3 is following George Lucas' most important storytelling rule. A group of rogue clones, the Bad Batch is being hunted by Palpatine because one of their own, Omega, is crucial to the success of Project Necromancer. What is becoming clear, though, is that the narrative of Star Wars: The Bad Batch season 3 is mirroring another recent tale.

When making the Star Wars prequel trilogy, George Lucas famously stated e viewed Star Wars like poetry. He believed that things in Star Wars should "rhyme" thematically and also in narrative terms - and that's what The Bad Batch season 3 seems to be doing with The Mandalorian. The return of Asajj Ventress builds on an already-existing...

Everything We Know About Rey's Parents In Star Wars (& Why Rey Isn't Really Palpatine's Granddaughter)
Image
Rey's parents, Dathan and Miramir, have a Star Wars history tying them back to Emperor Palpatine and the Sith, but they have done the work to distance themselves from their past as much as possible. Dathan is a strandcast of Palpatine who was considered a failure because he couldn't wield the Force, but Miramir may have been Force-sensitive. Palpatine considered Rey's parents nobodies because they fled Exegol, lived a simple life, and lacked strong Force abilities, but they sacrificed their lives to protect Rey from Palpatine. Rey's true legacy lies with Dathan and Miramir, not Palpatine.

Despite their brief appearance in Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker, the parents of Daisy Ridley's Rey Skywalker have an important Star Wars history, and it explains many things about Rey's own character. Following her debut in The Force Awakens, Rey's parents quickly became a hot topic among Star Wars viewers,...

Star Wars: The Bad Batch Sets Up Asajj Ventress' Return As A Hero
Image
Warning! This post contains Spoilers for Star Wars: The Bad Batch season 3, episode 8, "Bad Territory"

Asajj Ventress is set to return in The Bad Batch, potentially continuing her redemption arc. The Empire is hunting Force-sensitive children for Project Necromancer, seeking high M-count samples. As a bounty hunter, Ventress cared about children, and working to keep Force-sensitive kids safe from the Empire could be a perfect heroic arc for her character.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch has the opportunity to set up Asajj Ventress' return as a hero in the established canon. Although she first appears in the Star Wars timeline as a Sith assassin serving Count Dooku, Ventress' history and fate during the Clone Wars make her far more complex than a simple villain. To that end, Ventress' imminent return in The Bad Batch may continue her redemption arc seen in The Clone Wars as well as in Dark Disciple written by Christie Golden.

One Major Star Wars Continuity Problem Makes This New Republic Replacement Theory Even More Likely
Image
The New Republic will have to play a smaller role in upcoming stories due to continuity issues. Grand Admiral Thrawn's return poses a threat to the New Republic's peace accords. The Mandalorians will have to replace the New Republic as a key group in upcoming Star Wars projects.

One of Star Wars’ major continuity issues means it’s more likely that the New Republic will play a secondary role in Star Wars’ upcoming projects. With The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, Ahsoka, The Mandalorian & Grogu, and the upcoming as yet untitled Mandalorian movie, Star Wars has dedicated itself to fleshing out the galaxy’s history between the time of the original Star Wars trilogy and the sequel trilogy. The New Republic’s governance is an important part of that history – understanding how and why they let the Imperial Remnant and the First Order regain power during this time is undeniably compelling.

Star Wars Is Turning The Last Jedi's Hyperspace Tracking Into An Ever-Bigger Plot Hole
Image
Warning! This article contains minor spoilers for The Bad Batch season 3.

The Bad Batch season 3 hints at hyperspace tracking, establishing it earlier in the timeline than previously thought. The concept of hyperspace tracking was first teased in Rogue One and fully realized in The Last Jedi. The Resistance's surprise in The Last Jedi can be explained by the Empire's secrecy over the technology during the Dark Times, with it only coming to fruition during the First Order's reign.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi's hyperspace tracking concept is being worsened as a plot hole by a recent property: Star Wars: The Bad Batch season 3. When watching the Star Wars movies in release and chronological order, hyperspace tracking is actually first teased in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. That said, the concept did not come to fruition until Star Wars: The Last Jedi, a divisive plot point that was central...

This Din Djarin Decision In The Mandalorian Season 3 Just Saved Grogu & We Didn't Even Realize It

Star Wars Makes Its Coolest Dune Homage Yet, Less Than A Week After The Sequel's Release
Image
Warning! This post contains Spoilers for Star Wars: The Bad Batch season 3, episode 5

Star Wars: The Bad Batch season 3 pays homage to Dune with a giant iceworm, akin to the sandworms in Dune: Part Two. Star Wars' iceworm is seemingly the opposite of Dune's sandworm, burrowing through snow and being repelled by activated devices rather than summoned like the Fremen's thumpers. Star Wars has always borrowed from Dune as it was a major influence on George Lucas, seen via shared desert planets, chosen ones, galactic empires, and more.

Remarkably, Star Wars has revealed a "cool" Dune homage less than a week after the massive release of Dune: Part Two. As seen in the latest episode of The Bad Batch season 3, Omega and Crosshair have reunited with Hunter, Wrecker, and Echo, bringing the family that is Clone Force 99 back together again (sans Tech who is presumed dead). However, the episode...

Star Wars Theory Finally Reveals The Tragic Fate Of Ahsoka's Jedi Rival
Image
Barriss Offee framed Ahsoka Tano for murder, leading to Ahsoka's departure from the Jedi Order. Barriss' fate after the fall of the Jedi remains unknown, but she was last seen as a prisoner. Barriss Offee might be a potential subject for Palpatine's midi-chlorian experiments for Project Necromancer.

A new Star Wars theory reveals the fate of Ahsoka Tano’s Jedi rival, Barriss Offee. When Ahsoka was still Anakin Skywalker’s Padawan and a member of the Jedi Order, she became friends with another Padawan, Barriss Offee, a young Mirialan who was being taught by Master Luminara Unduli. As depicted in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Ahsoka and Barriss, like all Jedi, were forced to fight in the Clone Wars, leading the clone troopers as Commanders. They were given a lot of responsibilities and faced numerous dangerous missions together, but it made them both stronger as Jedi and as people.

Star Wars Trailers Are More Deceptive Than Ever – In The Best Possible Way
Image
The Bad Batch trailer deceives with a focus on rescuing Omega, but the season offers much more beyond the initial narrative. Star Wars trailers should take notes on utilizing deception to build curiosity without misleading audiences entirely. The success of The Bad Batch lies in fulfilling trailer promises while leaving room for unexpected plot developments.

One recent Star Wars trailer has been wonderfully deceptive – and the rest of the franchise should take note. Trailers give audiences an insight into what to expect from a certain show or movie – the themes, the atmosphere, the characters, and the narrative beats they might encounter when it’s finally released. Trailers are an art form, but some are more effective than others. Though they almost always use footage from the final product – some go so far as to deceive audiences by inserting footage that doesn’t even make it into the show or movie...
