More than three months after Colton Haynes teased an Arrow encore via Twitter — and just days after series lead Stephen Amell reignited that buzz by circulating an old video of them filming together — The CW has officially announced the when and why of Roy Harper’s return.
Haynes will be back for a short arc, the network says, starting with the 15th episode of this season. (Arrow returns from the holiday break on Thursday, Jan. 18, with Episode 10.)
“We’re thrilled to announce that Colton Haynes will be reprising his role as Roy Harper,” executive producers Marc Guggenheim and Wendy Mericle said in a statement.

The first three weeks of Dancing With the Stars‘ 25th season have essentially been a tug-of-war between Lindsey Stirling and Jordan Fisher, who have far and away been the strongest and most consistent contestants.
But every season, there is the great equalizer known as Most Memorable Years Night, in which even the weakest names on the roster turn in poignant, stirring routines as they reflect on crucial moments in their lives.

Family reunions — they’re usually such a bore, what with all those half-cousins twice removed in from Canada, and Great Aunt Mildred complaining about the “chewy” pasta which is actually calamari. Not to mention the forced group photo where everyone looks so awkward and sweaty.
The scenario above was decidedly not the case on Tuesday at the Cincinnati Zoo, where the once premature baby hippo Fiona was joined in the pool by her parents for the first time.

When mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs filmed the reconciliations and rehearsals for 2016's massive Bad Boy Family Reunion concert, he hoped to produce a music documentary similar to Madonna's 1991 backstage whirlwind Truth or Dare. "What happened," he says, "was something way different and way more complex and profound. … I was just intending on having some cameras backstage and having it be about the show – and it really turned into [being] about out our lives."

Forbes has just released its list of 2017's highest paid entertainers. Taylor Swift took the top spot as the highest paid celebrity last year with a whopping $170 million paycheck. However, she dropped to No. 49 this year with an income of around $44 million in 2017—a 74% year-over-year decrease. This year, Sean "Diddy" Combs sees the No.1 spot, coming in right above Beyoncé. The rapper and businessman can chalk up his $130 million year to his Bad Boy Family Reunion Tour, a partnership with Ciroc vodka and selling one-third of his Sean John clothing line (which went for an estimated $70 million). Queen B, on the other hand, came in second on the list with $105...

TV show titles don’t get much more provocative than Amazon’s I Love Dick. (The official press kit, with the title emblazoned on it in big red letters, wasn’t easy to explain around the office.) But it’s a fitting warm-up for the show itself, premiering this Friday: a sexually frank and intellectually challenging comedy that, most importantly, gives Kathryn Hahn the leading role she’s long deserved.
Hahn stars as Chris, a frustrated filmmaker who’s rapidly approaching a full-blown midlife crisis. She’s accompanying her stuffy husband Sylvere (Griffin Dunne) to the wind-swept prairies of Marfa,...

‘The Fate of the Furious’ Is Little More Than a Loud Family ReunionThe only thing furious here is the slapping of keyboards as hackers wage war.
If you look up “unlikeliest franchises” in the dictionary, well, you’re a fool, because that’s not how dictionaries work. But if they did, and if you did, the picture you’d see staring back at you from what has now become a picture dictionary of some sort would probably be of Vin Diesel grimacing behind the wheel of a car while flaming semi-trucks do wheelies out his back window. What started with the simple joys of street-racing in 2001’s The Fast and the Furious has morphed into the biggest and silliest film series out there.

Homecoming had all of the makings of an incredibly powerful episode, but the emotion of the hour was somewhat undercut by one major plot hiccup: the idea that our team of well-trained Deo agents would let Jeremiah Danvers waltz back into life at the Deo without so much as a debrief. Even if you didn't believe that Jeremiah had allied with Cadmus, would you really let a man who has been held prisoner for the last decade and a half back into work without months of mandatory therapy? Probably not.

First Tyler Perry swatted away Tom Cruise, and now he’s overpowered Tom Hanks: For the second straight week, “Boo! A Madea Halloween” has topped the box office. The latest franchise entry saw only a 41% drop as it headed into its second weekend, adding $16.6 million to the bottom line. This doesn’t particularly change much of the narrative around ‘Madea Halloween,’ as it’s still on track to finish among the best in the series “Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Family Reunion” ($63 million domestic) and “Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Witness Protection” ($65 million domestic), and possibly overtake them, but still finish behind the all-time topper “Tyler Perry’s Madea Goes to Jail” ($91 million domestic).

The most memorable reunion during Supernatural‘s Season 12 premiere on Thursday night? Surprisingly, it’s between Mary and the impala, not Mama Winchester and her sons.
RelatedSupernatural Ep Talks Complicated Winchester Family Reunion, ‘Very Driven’ Cas and More in Season 12
Sure, Dean’s interaction with his unexpectedly resurrected mother is both shocking (she knocks him to the ground) and tender (he recounts the story of how she met John). And just hearing him say the words “Come on, Mom” affected me way more than I expected. But when Mary sees the family car? It’s a moment.

The world as they know it may be crumbling around them, but Stefan and Caroline will still find time for each other in The Vampire Diaries‘ final season.

The disapproving finger Joe is pointing at Barry in the above Flash photo? We feel his frustration after witnessing the crushing changes the speedster’s timeline tampering resulted in during Tuesday’s episode. It’s a pretty hard call as to which of the reveals is the most heartbreaking:
* Cisco is now grief-stricken about his brother Dante’s death, and he’s not thrilled with Barry either. “Now you want to be there for me?” Cisco pointedly says to his pal. Eek.

The Legends of Tomorrow actually have two new missions for Season 2 — one of them being to remind us, “Time travel is supposed to be fun!”
PhotosSupergirl / Flash / Arrow / Legends of Tomorrow Crossover
Coming off of a heavily serialized, sci-fi-heavy freshman run, The CW’s Arrow/Flash offshoot reboots things a bit when it returns Thursday, Oct. 13 at 8/7c, as evidenced from the very first scene, in which someone we’ve never met before barges into Mayor Oliver Queen’s office with a wild theory about Green Arrow’s time-traveling friends having gone “missing” — in the past. Over time, the series...

Supergirl‘s transfer from CBS to The CW helped the latter network scale impressive ratings heights.
Monday’s Season 2 premiere drew 3 million viewers and a 1.1 18-49 demo rating, up triple digits compared to Crazy Ex-Girlfriend‘s performance in the Monday timeslot last fall. It also was The CW’s most-watched show in the Monday-at-8 pm perch in nearly eight years (since a 2008 Gossip Girl episode) and best 18-49 rating in six years (since a 2010 90210 episode).
Not surprisingly, Supergirl was down sharply vs. the 6.1 million/1.3 the show drew for its Season 1 finale on CBS.
TVLine readers gave the episode an average “A-” grade.

Hey now, and hallelujah: After a few years stuck in streaming purgatory, all 89 episodes of The Larry Sanders Show are now available on HBO Go/HBO Now, as of this Friday. It’s a fitting home, too, since the original run of Sanders aired on HBO from 1992 to 1998 — and changed television as we know it.
