In 1987 Dharmendra gave 6 box office hits, which is a record in itself to date. The films which became box office hits included Hukumat, Aag Hi Aag, Loha, Insaniyat Ke Dushman, Watan Ke Rakhwale and Dadagiri (although Dadagiri was average). Even Hukumat was the year's biggest box office record breaker, and crossed the earnings of that year's blockbuster Mr. India.
In the days the Nadiadwala"s were making every and releasing films in every year like Muddat, Watan Ke Rakhwala, Sone Pe Suhagan etc. All were big films with big stars.
One of the specialities of this film is, there were 3 generations of actors and actresses in this film; Ashok Kumar and Lalita Power, Sunil Dutt, Dharmendra, Prem Chopra and Kader Khan and Moushumi Chaterjee, Mithun Chakravorty, Shakti Kapoor and Sridevi.
Despite Kader Khan played the main antagonist and Sunil Dutt was one of the main characters, they never shared a scene except in the gunshot firing scene in the climax.
Sridevi's voice was dubbed by a dubbing artiste.
