The Age of Adaline hits April 24th, and despite the fact that you may find it a little close to your new favorite show, Forever, complete with a very similar genesis story, it looks like a lot of fun.
Plus, even if Blake Lively isn’t one of your favorites, you can generally bet on things Harrison Ford signs on to do.
In a potentially interesting spin on the immortal genre, Adaline Bowman hasn’t age in eighty years, and has led a supremely solitary existence for most of that time. Her existence is thrown for a loop, however, when she meets a man who recognizes her.
The film stars – Blake Lively, Michiel Huisman, Kathy Baker, Amanda Crew, with Harrison Ford, and Ellen Burstyn

We start the Top 7. You finish the Top 10.
This week’s “Question of the Week” on Jeff Bayer’s “Movie B.S.” podcast is inspired by Sparkle, a remake of the 1976 film that features actress/singer Whitney Houston in her last on-screen performance. This question is, “What dead performer do you wish had made one last movie before they died, and what would it be?”
In honor of Houston, and many others who left us before giving us the movie that they should’ve made last, here’s a list of the Top 7 Imaginary Last Performances from Dead Actors.
7. Phil Hartman
Last Film: The PG-13 family action figure actioner Small Soldiers, 1998.
Should’ve Been Last Film: While it certainly came out some time after 1998, the long-anticipated, now-forgotten Simpsons Movie just wasn’t the same without Phil Hartman, who voiced classic side characters on the TV show like Lionel Hutz and Troy McClure.

Orson Welles, Rita Hayworth, The Lady from Shanghai Orson Welles' career as an actor was both fruitful and frustrating. From Citizen Kane (1941) to Someone to Love (1987), Welles appeared — mostly in supporting roles — in about 70 features made in various parts of the world. There was one brilliant performance in one brilliant film, Charles Foster Kane in Citizen Kane, but the rest of what I've seen has been either forgettable or memorable for the wrong reasons. Subtlety is a quality with which Welles the Actor was totally unfamiliar. Whether or not you admire Orson Welles' work in front of the camera, Welles fans are being treated to 13 films featuring Welles as both leading man and supporting player, all day Monday, August 8, on Turner Classic Movies. The only TCM premiere in this "Summer Under the Stars" Orson Welles Day is the 1952 British-made crime drama Trent's Last Case, directed by veteran Herbert Wilcox,...

Chicago – Reliving the 1980s is what Topher Grace, ironically known for “That ‘70s Show,” set out to do with the story line for his new film, “Take Me Home Tonight.” Comedian Demetri Martin has a supporting role in that film.
Grace developed the original story, about a post-collegiate guy named Matt working in a video store, trying to figure out the next stage of his life. When he encounters a high school crush named Tori (Teresa Palmer), he makes up a scenario where he works for the investment film Goldman Sachs. He then catches up to an actual Goldman Sachs employee, played by Demetri Martin, to back up his story. The rest of the movie is basically about Matt working through the deception.
HollywoodChicago.com caught up with these two co-stars, and talked about their new film and their rich and interesting careers so far.

Composer of television and film scores for Brideshead Revisited and Monty Python, as well as many concert and stage works
The composer Geoffrey Burgon, who has died aged 69 after a short illness, wrote some of the most memorable music for television drama of recent decades. He was also versatile and prolific, producing a wealth of refined, compelling music in many other genres.
Though an old friend, Geoff, born in Hampshire, wasn't my friend to begin with. He was my elder brother Nigel's best mate at Pewley school, Guildford, in Surrey. It was there that my brother persuaded Geoff to buy a trumpet so that he could play alongside Nigel's clarinet in the school jazz band. But his ambitions to be a jazz trumpeter were thwarted by his yearning to write music. He taught himself notation while he was still at school, played the trumpet in a local youth orchestra, and...

Henry Jaglom, the iconic writer/director whose films include: Eating, Someone To Love, New Years Day, Hollywood Dreams, and most recently Irene in Time, was kind enough to sit down with me and talk about his life, his art and his new play Just 45 Minutes From Broadway. Joining us was his muse, and very talented actress, Tanna Frederick who stars in Irene in Time, Hollywood Dreams and currently in Henry's new play. I can't think of anyone who makes films like Henry does. He is an artist in the true sense of the word. His lead characters are often women, and I'm not talking Lara Croft (Tomb Raider), but real women who share their deepest thoughts and feelings. Henry told me he gets his understanding of women from his mother. She allowed him to explore...
