There is a brief molestation attempt of a young girl. This does not go beyond an attempted grabbing, but the context of it is clear.

There are a few scenes where a woman wears a low cut shirt showing a lot of cleavage.

A dogfight is visible, and a wolf is shown quite menacing at times (although only to strangers - he appears as a pet to the main character).

Some juveniles get into a fight. Nothing major.

At one point, the main character is slapped hard.

The woman who Natty stays with in the beginning says the word G*d D**n after Natty gets in trouble with the police.

Several uses of the D word and the H word.

Juveniles and Natty's father smoke cigarettes.

Natty cuts open a rabbit that the dog kills.

There is a scene when a train is blown up as one of the main characters is on it. This scene may be surprising to some, but the person is okay.

The wolf is a bit menacing. At one point it is implied he breaks the neck of another dog. The dog actually goes limp, which might be a little disturbing to some.
