Burbank, Calif., May 6, 2025 – Lethal Weapon, the 1987 action thriller film from director Richard Donner and starring Mel Gibson and Danny Glover, will be available for purchase Digitally in 4K Ultra HD and on 4K Uhd Blu-ray Disc on June 24.

The box office hit was nominated for the Academy Award® for Best Sound and spawned a franchise with three sequels and a television series.

The Digital and 4K Uhd disc release includes the 1987 theatrical version of the film and the 2000 Director’s Cut, which features an additional 7 minutes of footage not seen in theaters.

Directed by Donner (Superman), the film stars Gibson (Braveheart) as Detective Martin Riggs, Glover (Predator) as Detective Roger Murtaugh, and Gary Busey (Point Break). Shane Black wrote the script, and Donner, Joel Silver, and Silver Pictures produced it.

Disney’s live-action “Snow White” arrives on digital platforms next week, and as part of the bonus features on the movie, fans will get to see a few scenes that didn’t make the cut — including one where the forest nearly claims Snow White for good.

In TheWrap’s exclusive sneak peek of the deleted scene, Rachel Zegler’s Snow White is on the run from the Evil Queen’s huntsman, and like we see in the film, the trees around her seem to come to life and close in on her. As she retreats, Snow falls through a tree trunk to a level of the woods below.

Disney's Snow White was the studio's latest attempt to turn its beloved animated fairy tales into live-action versions. The House of Mouse previously had massive success with titles like 2015's Cinderella, 2017's Beauty and the Beast, and even 2023's The Little Mermaid, but the live-action adaptation of the first Disney Princess wasn't a hit.

Based on the 1937 animated hit Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, the first animated film produced in the U.S., and Disney's first title. Based on the 1812 German fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm, Snow White is one of the most recognizable Disney Princesses, but her popularity didn't translate into the new adaptation starring Rachel Zegler as the titular princess. According to Deadline, Snow White is officially heading to digital platforms on May 13 after a disastrous box office run.

The documentary consists of two parts and follows the life history of the late Paul Reubens, the performer who portrayed Pee-wee Herman. It’s a “a window into his never before discussed personal life. Determined to correct the record and tell the factual story of his life, Reubens excavates his kaleidoscopic influences, origins in the circus and avant-garde performance theater, and career choices,” according to the official synopsis.

Directed by Matt Wolf, the documentary also includes interviews with Reubens’s sister, Abby Rubenfeld, Tim Burton, Judd Apatow, Natasha Lyonne, Laurence Fishburne, David Arquette and Laraine Newman.

I ask because she’s giving Tom Cruise a run for his money by jumping off the second-tallest building in the world in a clip for Marvel’s upcoming antihero action romp Thunderbolts*. Speaking with Fandango, Pugh said she bombarded Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige about not using a stunt double for the scene in Thunderbolts* when Yelena leaps into action from the top of the Merdeka 118 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The latest promo for Thunderbolts* sees Pugh's character, Yelena Belova, jumping off the second-tallest skyscraper in the world. While Marvel Studios has become notorious for its love of green screen and CGI, Pugh was adamant about shooting the scene in camera, much to the dismay and horror of Marvel boss Kevin Feige.

During a recent interview with Fandango, Florence Pugh and her Thunderbolts* co-stars, including David Harbour, Wyatt Russell, Sebastian Stan, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus, discussed the stunts in the upcoming MCU movie. When asked who had the toughest stunt in the film, everyone agreed that Pugh leaping off the second-tallest skyscraper in the world was the hardest. Florence Pugh then revealed that Kevin Feige was heavily against shooting the scene for real due to insurance concerns, but the actress fought hard to convince the Marvel boss.

The press tour for Marvel's Thunderbolts is beginning to ramp up, and the full cast recently sat down with Fandango to discuss a number of topics, including the intense stuntwork performed by Florence Pugh.

Not to be outdone, David Harbour also elaborated on the demanding physical training he underwent to portray Red Guardian.

Said Pugh, "I got on all the emails, becuase it was in the script, and slowly as we got closer to shooting they were like, 'Yeah, I don't think this is going to happen.It's goint to be a crazy insurance ordeal. And obviously, we're not goint to throw Fp off the second-tallest building in the world.'"

Several Thunderbolts* actors were confirmed for Doomsday, including Sebastian Stan, Florence Pugh, David Harbour, Wyatt Russell and Hannah John-Kamen. However, one star who didn't get a chair was Julia Louis-Dreyfus, who portrays CIA director Valentina Allegra de Fontaine in the MCU. After a bumpy ride through production, Captain America: Brave New World reached theatres on February 14th – and over the last two months, it has earned about $413 million at the global box office. Now, SuperHeroHype has learned that the film is set to receive a digital release next week, on April 15th, with the 4K Uhd, Blu-ray, and DVD release to follow on May 13th.

The film went into production in March of 2023, with filming lasting through June. In December of ’23, another screenwriter was brought onto the project to write new material for reshoots, which seemed to be quite substantial. It was said that the reshoots were primarily done to rework three major action sequences – and this included adding Giancarlo Esposito into the mix as Sidewinder, the leader of the Serpent Society, while also dropping a Serpent Society character that was played by wrestler Seth Rollins.

Here’s some good news before CinemaCon amid an awful box office weekend: Fandango reports that Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures’ upcoming video game adaptation film, A Minecraft Movie, is its best PG-rated ticket pre-seller of 2025.

The movie, which opens April 4, is expected to do $60M+ and its awareness is best with females under 35 (62) and males under 35 (66), per tracking service Quorum. Those also remain the two hottest demos who’ll pay to see the movie in a theater.

Per Fandango, the Jason Momoa-Jack Black-Danielle Brooks movie has surpassed all other 2025 PG-Rated titles in advance ticket sales at the same point in the sales cycle, including Dog Man, Paddington in Peru, and Snow White.

Rumor’s spreadin’ ’round that Zz Top drummer Frank Beard has left the band’s Elevation Tour to focus on an unspecified “health issue.”

The Texas trio’s reps said Saturday that its co-founder “has temporarily stepped away from the current tour to attend a health issue requiring his focus in the near term” and is “looking forward to a speedy recovery.”
