Despite the amount of nudity and sexual innuendo in the film, this was surprisingly granted a PG certificate in many countries.
This is the last movie Diane Franklin appeared nude in. She said in a 2020 interview that while her willingness to reveal her breasts kickstarted her career, it also had a negative effect. After doing nude scenes in the Last American Virgin and Amittyville II: The Possession, both in 1982, the only offers she was getting were roles that involved getting naked, because producers were thinking, "Hey, she's okay with taking her top off, so let's just get her." She didn't want to be known as the actress that loves showing her boobs to the world, so she basically had to tell her agent, "No more. I won't take any more roles where my top comes off." She then ended up turning down tons of film work, all wanting her to strip naked, and ended up doing mostly TV.
This film went straight to home video in the USA.
