- The Ghostbusters make a joke about getting a ghost laid. This moment happens at 1:32:54 in the film. Easy to miss.
- Ray dreams of a ghost giving him a BJ by unzipping his trousers (nothing graphic at all). It cuts to his comical reaction. This moment happens at 41 minutes into the movie.
- Ray Stantz (Dan Aykroyd) calls another man "dickless". The conversation continues on for a moment and then the mayor says "is this true?" to which Venkman (Bill Murray) responds "yes it's true. This man has no dick." This moment happens at 1:15:11 in the film.
- A brief sexual scene where Dana tries to get Venkman to sleep with him and saying things like "I want you inside me." She grabs him and drags him onto the bed and straddles him but he stops her. This moment happens at 56:49 in the film.

- Several demonic arms burst through a chair and grab a seated woman.
- Ghosts and monsters have strange designs. The main characters develop their weapons that can affect and capture those creatures with surprising ease.
- A ghost which looks like an old woman, transforms into a grotesque and frightening appearance in two scenes. One is not shown, but a woman who encounters it screams in fear. Dana opens her refrigerator and sees a hallucination of a rooftop building with a vicious dog, which roars loudly and frightens her. A hungry ghost eating food on a cart is shot at by Ray with his taser-gun, where it fearfully runs away, accidentally grabbing the cart and disappearing through a wall where it crashes and objects splatter everywhere.
- Some monsters look particularly vicious and menacing, with one which growls like a dog.
