CBS will commemorate the first appearance of The Beatles on "The Ed Sullivan Show" with a TV special to be aired from the Ed Sullivan Theatre in New York City on February 9. "The Night That Changed America: A Grammy Salute to the Beatles" will mark the 50th anniversary of the Fab Four's landmark appearance on Sullivan's show in the very theater from which the broadcast will take place. The show will be taped at the theater on January 27 and will feature Grammy-winning artists performing Beatles songs and discussing the influence of their music. Archival footage will also be aired.

Let's spend the night together. And then some! Yep. According to Christopher Andersen, whose new book Mick: The Wild and Mad Genius of Jagger has just been released, rock legend Mick Jagger has had an estimated 4,000 lovers! During an appearance on CBS This Morning, the author noted Jagger has been "a busy boy." Andersen went on to add, "[Ex-wife] Jerry Hall proclaimed after putting up with his infidelity for 23 years that he was a sex addict, and she asked him to get help. Keith [Richards] asked him to get help, and they were thrilled when he sought help from a sex therapist. Until he seduced the sex therapist." As for his other conquests? During a chat...

Rocker Huey Lewis is set to be exposed as the biggest man in music - below the belt - in a saucy new TV documentary. Legendary groupie Pamela Des Barres has gathered the most famous backstage girlfriends in rock 'n' roll history to speak candidly about their conquests for VH1's "Let's Spend The Night Together".
In the film, Tura Satana talks about teaching Elvis Presley how to kiss, Lori Mattix recalls losing her virginity to David Bowie and then getting "kidnapped" by Led Zeppelin star Jimmy Page and Cynthia Albritton reveals all about making plaster casts of her famous lovers' manhoods.
But it's groupie Connie Hamzy's confessions that are sure to be the highlight of the new show - she tells the Globe Huey Lewis was by far the most well-endowed rocker she bedded.

This month is the Turkey holiday of Thanksgiving. While many people will be thinking of three big Fs - food, family and football - this year's Thanksgiving should make people think about one other thing: music.
VH1, VH1 Classic, and Palladia are collaborating to put on three different music specials on three different days during Thanksgiving week highlighting the best of the legendary The Rolling Stones. Two initial world television premiere documentaries will lead up to a third premiere of "VH1 Rock Doc: Shine A Light."
On Wednesday, Nov. 24th, VH1 Classic will show the pivotal documentary "Let's Spend the Night Together," the acclaimed film directed by Hal Ashby. The documentary shows a performance from the Stones' 1981 tour, including performances of classics from their album "Some Girls," including "Just My Imagination," "Beast of Burden" and "Some Girls."
The next day, Thanksgiving, VH1 Classic and Palladia will show "Ladies and Gentlemen: The Rolling Stones.

If you have seen Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and the rest of the Rolling Stones hanging around a lot lately, it's because they are celebrating the release of a remastered anniversary edition of their classic 1972 album Exile on Main St. (which hits store shelves today). The newly remastered version features a second disc of songs, all 10 of which have been previously unreleased and were from the same sessions that yielded Exile on Main St.
Here's the thing about Exile on Main St.: While it's an excellent album and contains some of the band's signature hits ("Tumbling Dice," "Loving Cup," "Shine a Light") and some excellent deep cuts ("Rip This Joint," "Casino Boogie"), it's profoundly overrated — especially in the context of the rest of the Stones' catalog. It's way too long and bloated in places, and the stuff at the back end seems a little perfunctory (especially "Let It Loose...
