- CBS edited 8 minutes from this film for its 1986 network television premiere.
- Several years ago, the cable channel, Turner Classic Movies showed a very skillfully edited print of Raging Bull, removing all the profanity. Turner Classic Movies no longer edits its films, so if Raging Bull is ever shown again on that channel, it will be the uncut "R" rated version.
- The United Artists logo is replaced by black and white versions of the 1981 variant and 1982 variant in the 1980 VHS and 1988 VHS respectively. It is also plastered in the other prints with the MGM/UA Communications Co. and 1987 United Artists logos in the Criterion LaserDisc, the short version of the 1987 variant in the 1991 Canadian VHS, and 1994 variant in the 1996 VHS and 1998 DVD.
- The post-2004 MGM prints contained the opening MGM logo and 2001 United Artists logo in addition to the closing MGM logo. But in the Criterion Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray prints, both MGM logos were plastered with the 2012 variants.
