"Le manège" is a dark, but captivating stop motion animation, directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet (Director of films like "Delicatessen" and "The City of Lost Children") Pretty much like his future works, this short had a magnificent visual aspect, particularly in what concerns to the atmosphere and sceneries.
I really liked this short. I think it was beautifully made and I loved the strange appearance of the characters which appeared on it.
I also noticed that this short had some common elements with the works of the Brothers Quay, resulting in a mesmerizing animation with a dream-like quality, which is fascinating to watch from beginning to end.
In my opinion, this is an underrated animation which deserved a lot of more fame and recognition.
