Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Sex & Nudity

  • Rudloff blatantly implies that if Steve does not throw his matches, that von Rudloff would dispatch another karateka to rape Olga. When Steve does not throw the match as ordered, he does indeed send the man to carry out the threat, but Olga and Chico are able to thwart him and she remains unviolated.

Violence & Gore

  • Steve is bloodied from a shoulder wound near the beginning of the film, but the wound is minor and this is the only blood seen in the film.
  • Chico is badly beaten in one sequence by a group of karateka.
  • A character in the tournament sequence is killed or at least severely injured and left comatose by a merciless beating from his opponent.
  • At the end of the film, the final shot depicts Baron von Rudloff committing suicide by gunshot. It is from his point of view and the film cuts to black a fraction of a second before the gun fires, so no gore is seen.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • There is heavy Nazi imagery throughout the film, mostly concentrated on Baron von Rudloff, a former Nazi war criminal and the film's villain. This includes shots of swastikas, closeups of a picture of Adolf Hitler and the playing of the Nazi anthem, "Die Horst-Wessel-Lied".
