Spoilers
Violence & Gore
- One important plot element is that the Sergeant killed a German soldier in World War I, unaware that the war was over. This is bookended at the end of the film where the Sergeant makes a similar error attacking a German soldier post final surrender in World War II, but the unit manages to save the soldier's life this time upon realizing the mistake.
