"Women of Hell's Island"
Uriah4321 March 2016
This movie starts off with some attractive women being kidnapped and then flown to a tropical island where they are subsequently locked up and forced into sexual slavery. As it so happens, however, these women are only a secondary part of an operation which focuses mainly on assassinations and military insurgencies all over the globe. Their purpose then is to satisfy the assassins in order to keep them loyal to the organization. Nothing more. Not only that, but in order to totally satisfy their customers, these women are injected with a drug which acts as an aphrodisiac but at the same time also has a slow but fatal side-effect as well. That said, when the women are essentially "used up" or driven insane they are simply killed and replaced by fresh replacements. Needless to say, the women are definitely driven to escape but the only question is on how to proceed--with one faction wanting to overtake the guards by force, while the other group believes that they should dig a tunnel and try to commandeer a nearby airplane in order to make their escape. Now rather than reveal any more I will just say that this movie certainly had some potential. Unfortunately, the version I saw also had some obvious weaknesses too. First, there was very little character development and this resulted in several instances where the characters went totally unnamed. Even worse, those characters who were named weren't identified on the end credits and as a result it was difficult to tell exactly which actor (or actress) played which specific character. As a matter of fact, about the only two I was able to identify was the actress playing "Maggie" (Ingrid Greer) and "Cindy" (Bernadette Williams). That's it. Additionally, unlike most WIP (Women-in-Prison) films, this particular movie had very little nudity and hardly any scenes of an explicit nature. This surprising fact caused the movie to seem quite mild in comparison to most other films of this specific sub-genre. Now, that's not to say that this was necessarily bad as sometimes there are scenes in these films that I believe are either too graphic or otherwise totally unnecessary. In any case, this tame plot seemed rather odd to me and because of that I decided to do a little research. What I found out was that this particular movie goes by several different titles with "Hell Hole", "Women of Hell's Island" and "Escape from Women's Hell Hole" to name just three. Now this, in and of itself, is hardly unusual when it comes to low-budget movies of this type. However, I also noticed that the playing times of this particular film varied from anywhere between 82 to 103 minutes. That being said, it is quite possible that the movie I saw had certain parts edited out which were directly related to the criticisms I mentioned earlier. If so then this movie might be better-or worse-than the picture I viewed. Be that as it may, I didn't think the version I saw was necessarily that bad and I have rated it accordingly. Slightly below average.

Trash cinema lovers, rejoice!

An unsung champion of grindhouse splendor that delivers the goods, and anyone with a slant toward the "captive females" sub-genre should take note. HELL HOLE is a lecherous little exercise in flagrant chauvinism that's packed with action, and features more swinging udders than a dairy farm.

The plot is outrageously kitsch...voluptuous babes are being randomly abducted off the streets, then shuttled off to a mercenary training camp on a remote tropical island. Their purpose- to provide sexual gratification for the recruits. Will their perilous escape plans prove futile?

Check it out...it's an underrecognized slice of sleazy bubblegum goodness, the likes of which we'll never see again.

A hellhole for those watching

This yet another WIP Phillipino production (this time courtesy of Sr Santiago). Could stop there really.

This is no "Bare behind Bars" type of WIP. Yes, we have got all the usual sweaty white females in a foreign jungle, plus vicious warders trying to exploit the gals for sex and cash. But it is all a little bit tame really.

Mild torture and modest nudity, with most of the exploitation being in the tone rather than the form. You have seen it all before.

Don't confuse with the other hellhole movies, and (unless you are a completist) I really wouldn't bother.

Boring crap
pellenase17 December 2005
I love no budget crappy trash-movies, but this is just not good enough, or bad enough. If you have seen any, and I mean almost any, movie with ugly ass-faced prison guards raping females in a jungle prison before, you will find this piece of s**t boring as the hell hole on Satan's behind. Yes, the terrible babbling stupid dubbing is great (where do they find those horrible people talentless enough to read such awful lines with such stupidity and funny pathos?) but its just not awful enough to make up for the bad but not bad enough acting. The script? A cut and paste, as it should be. But hey, one little piece of new disgusting trash wouldn't be to much to ask for would it? If you're new to this kind of crappy trash, you might find it kind of funny.

Decent women in prison film on a island.

The soundtrack is probably the best thing about the film, although it kinda mashes up with other tracks too. There's a little bit of gore but it looks great when they show it...all the men are pigs and there's an evil female behind the entire island women camp thing that we hardly see or hear from lol.
