Punk veterans Rancid have just released their 10th studio album, Tomorrow Never Comes. The LP, which marks the band’s first full-length in six years, is available to stream below.
Prior to the album’s release, Rancid unleashed the title track and “Devil in Disguise.” And today (June 2nd), the band unveiled a music video for the tune “New American” (watch below). All three songs capture Rancid’s classic punk sound, clocking in at under three minutes each.
Overall, Tomorrow Never Comes features 16 songs. It marks the follow-up to 2017’s Trouble Maker.
Rancid recently played the Punk Rock Bowling fest in Las Vegas, and will kick off a month-long UK/European tour tonight in Rimini, Italy. They’ll return to the States for a handful of festival gigs and headlining shows in September and October. Tickets to their upcoming gigs are available here.

Punk veterans Rancid have dropped “Devil in Disguise,” the latest single from their forthcoming album, Tomorrow Never Comes, out June 2nd via Epitaph.
The new song, which follows the album’s title track released last month, features galloping drums and a sing-along chorus in which Tim Armstrong and Lars Frederiksen team up for the refrain: “Beware who’s around you hiding in plain sight / Beware who’s around you in the broad daylight.” And in typical Rancid style, the track clocks in at bite-sized punk duration of two minutes.
Tomorrow Never Comes marks the band’s first album in six years, following 2017’s Trouble Maker. The new LP was once again produced by Epitaph Records owner and Bad Religion guitarist Brett Gurewitz.
Prior to the LP drop next Friday, Rancid are set to headline the Punk Rock Bowling & Music Festival in Las Vegas this Sunday (May 28th).

Rancid have announced their first album in six years. The veteran punk band’s 10th studio LP, Tomorrow Never Comes, arrives on June 2nd, and features the just-released title track as its first single.
Tomorrow Never Comes follows 2017’s Trouble Maker. Like that album, the new LP was produced by Epitaph Records owner and Bad Religion guitarist Brett Gurewitz.
The single “Tomorrow Never Comes” features a three-vocal attack, with Tim Armstrong handling the verses, Lars Frederiksen taking on the main chorus, and bassist Matt Freeman belting “tomorrow” in a call-and-response extension of the chorus.
Prior to the album’s release, Rancid will headline the Punk Rock Bowling & Music Festival in Las Vegas on May 28th. After that, they’ll embark on a European/UK tour that kicks off on the album’s release date (June 2nd) in Rimini, Italy, and wraps up June 25th in Tabor, Czech Republic, at the Mighty Sounds Festival.

In June 1970, Elvis Presley made the trip east from his Graceland home in Memphis to Nashville, where he holed up in RCA Studio B on Music Row for five days of recording. Presley, who was in the midst of his Las Vegas comeback at the International Hotel, was joined by Music City sessions players like Charlie McCoy and Norbert Putnam — the legendary “Nashville Cats.” The result came to be known among fans as the “marathon sessions.”
Now, a new four-disc compilation assembles the masters from those halcyon days and captures Presley at his energetic best.

Petula Clark makes it her mission to live for today, but she’d prefer to make an exception on the afternoon we speak. The iconic singer—best known for her string of million-sellers in the 1960s—turned 85 this day, and an attempt to begin our phone call with a happy birthday greeting is met with a faux groan. “No, no no—don’t go there. I haven’t done those for a long, long time,” she says with a good natured laugh.
Age is certainly irrelevant, but that goes double for Clark, who is currently in the midst of her...

The curtains have closed for one of Nashville’s stars.
On Thursday’s heartbreaking episode of the country music drama, ominously titled “If Tomorrow Never Comes,” Rayna Jaymes (Connie Britton) took her last breath, flatlining after succumbing to complications from injuries she suffered during the shocking car accident. But it didn’t always look like Rayna was knocking on death’s door.
Everything seemed to be going as well as it could be for Rayna following the crash and subsequent surgery. While recovering at the hospital, Rayna and Deacon (Charles Esten) begin working on a song -- “a coda,” if you will -- for his unfinished album. “That last little thing you hear. It suddenly makes everything make sense. That’s what the song should be,” Rayna suggests.

On this episode of Nashville, "If Tomorrow Never Comes," Rayna is rushed into surgery after her car accident, friends and family gather at the hospital while Maddie, overcome by guilt, can't get far enough away.
Rayna lives! She's even conscious as they wheel her into the ER. Disappointingly, her injuries aren't even as severe as they were after her first accident in the season 1 finale that left in her in a coma. She's got a shattered pelvis and hip, and she's even enjoying the perks of a morphine drip. Deacon rushes to his beloved's bedside, and Rayna says what all of us are thinking: "Can you believe this?" No, I can't. Throwing a car wreck into the mix just after Rayna escapes from the clutches of her stalker, and she walks away relatively unscathed? Nope, I don't believe it at all. And with the episode titled "If Tomorrow Never Comes,...

Wow. "Nashville" wasn't lying when it teased that someone would die in Wednesday (Dec. 11) night's episode, "Tomorrow Never Comes."
Spoilers below.
Did you guess they would kill both Crazy Peggy and Will? We were only prepared for one death, but now two lives hang in the balance. And while Crazy Peggy getting shot was super soap opera-y, Will's apparent suicide is like a punch to the gut. Here was a bright, young, talented man with his entire future as a country superstar ahead of him, and he walked in front of a train because he was in so much pain from being closeted. He couldn't deal with being gay in the country music business, even after he finally gave in to his feelings and slept with Brent. He should have been happy at connecting with the guy he'd been longing for, but instead he took his own life.
Did Will actually go through with it?...

The Top 6 sang two songs each on Wednesday's episode of The X Factor. One was an unplugged performance - which generally was pretty good - and one was a song chosen by America - which generally wasn't as good.

Demi said that she was glad that CeCe was her final contestant in the competition. That is quite a slap in the face to Jennel and Paige. This just in (my brain only): Simon Cowell was so happy with the results of The X Factor‘s Pepsi Challenge — during which viewers weighed in on contestants’ songs, hairstyles, wardrobe and staging — that he wants to extend the intiative for the rest of Season 2. The first of next week’s viewer polls will read as follows:
What change would you like to see behind the judges’ table?
A. Simon buttons his damn shirt already.
B. Britney without tranquilizers!
C. Demi Lovato eyebrow topiary.
D. Paula Abdul’s back…and this time, it’s personal!
E. L.A. Reid chair-dancing exhibition.

On Monday's (June 4) "America's Got Talent," country crooner Tim Poe wowed judges not just with his performance of Garth Brooks' "Tomorrow Never Comes," but with his story of having been injured while serving in Afghanistan. But reports are surfacing that Poe may have made up the whole story.
Poe drew sympathy when he recounted the brain damage he suffered in a rocket-propelled grenade attack and explained that it left him with a stutter that he can only overcome when he sings. But Rickey.org reports that military records don't match his story.
"Sgt. Poe's official military records do not indicate that he was injured by a grenade in combat while serving in Afghanistan in 2009, as he reports," the Minnesota National Guard said in a statement to Yahoo! TV.

Think of Sonic Youth. When most, and I imagine you’re no different, think of Sonic Youth they think of noise rock’s power couple. Thurston Moore and Kim Gordon, would be the most often name checked and revered persons that come to mind, indie icons as they are. Sonic Youth’s own Lennon and McCartney, with more sexual tension. Actually, sexual release and fulfilment I’d speculate given that they got married and had a daughter. Which is a darn sight more than Lennon and McCartney managed with their working relationship. If only though.
Anyhow, yes, it’s alternative’s own Mr and Mrs Right (though now in line for a divorce, as any review of this album seems adverse to not mentioning or anything in relation to Sonic Youth, I’m no different it seems, whatever) or Lennon/McCartney that come to mind when musing on Sonic Youth,...

He is to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame next month for crafting such classics as "A Song for You" and "Superstar." Country icon Garth Brooks has paid tribute to pal Oprah Winfrey for making a friend's dying wish come true. Winfrey quizzed the star about why he sent her a bouquet of flowers recently for no apparent reason when Brooks appeared on her show on Wednesday, November 24 - and he revealed he owes the talk show queen a huge debt of gratitude.
He said, "One of my best buddies, Kent Blazy, is a songwriter; he wrote a song called 'If Tomorrow Never Comes'... His wife worshiped you... She dealt with brain tumors most of the adult life that I knew Kent, and you were very sweet to let her come and be here at this show."

After schooling women about key rules to avoid abusive relationship in "Statistics", Lyfe Jennings now sheds some tears in a music video for "If Tomorrow Never Comes". He is kept as a hostage by a group of people and sings his last words to his loved ones.
"Statistics" and "If Tomorrow Never Comes" are confirmed to be listed in Lyfe Jennings' new album "I Still Believe". The effort is expected to come out in United States on August 31 and going to be his final studio project.
"This is my last album," he said in an interview. "I have three children and they're at an age where they really need me there. I just can't be on the road seven, eight months of the year. They need me in their life right now." He won't completely withdraw from music but will be involved more in behind-the-scene works.
