Actress Catharine Burgess uses the alias Catherine Earnshaw in The Double Exposure of Holly. Catherine Earnshaw is the female protagonist of the novel Wuthering Heights written by Emily Brontë.

Jennifer Welles was originally cast as Holly, but had to ultimately drop out due to the fact that she had secured a singing gig on the road with her husband and hence couldn't fit the movie into her schedule.

Don Peterson had tremendous difficulty getting and sustaining an erection during the filming of a sex scene, so Jamie Gillis was asked by the filmmakers to substitute for Peterson in a threesome set piece that was originally going to feature Peterson's character.

The cast were all brought in by the filmmakers to rehearse their dialogue a week prior to the shooting of the picture.
