Marriage Sicilian style

Warning: Spoilers
Anthony M. Wilson is, for all appearances, an English gentleman. He has a string of tony restaurants in London plus a beautiful house decorated with all the trendy art he can get. There is another side of him he does not like to tell any of his friends, his Sicilian ancestry. When a mysterious letter arrives for him to meet a distant relative, little did he realize to what extent his life was going to change.

The arrival of Lucia Mantuso, a distant relative, sends Anthony into a tail spin. The letter holds him responsible to keep the girl in check. In addition to that, Anthony must do everything to guard Lucia from ever losing her virginity. What he does not realize is that Lucia has other interests that include a deal with the Sicilian family.

This film was shown recently on a cable channel under the title "Virginity", which intrigued us. The idea of catching Vittorio Gassman, one of the best actors of his generation, was the deciding factor. The only trouble with Franco Rossi's film is that is a mess of styles that ultimately, does not satisfy. The beautiful Ornella Muti plays Lucia.
