A mysterious Major Gaspar commands the Chetniks in Belgrade. Prle, Tihi and Joca have to return to Belgrade posing as government officials. Unaware of their identity, the Germans, the Partisans and the Chetniks all hunt for them.
Downed American paratroopers must be saved from the German encirclement in a village near Belgrade so Mrki, Tihi and Prle hatch a plan. Krieger and Misic search Marija's building after a tip from Prle's old friend, Dragi Kenta.

The Partisans get a streak of luck when a German telegraph operator in the main station, Vili, wishes to defect to the Partisans. He accompanies Joca to disable explosive charges the Germans placed to destroy the telegraph station.
The Germans are taking all valuables from the city's vault with airtight security to Germany along with all the intellectual elite. Prle tries to break into the vault to steal some gold while Joca wants to save his doctor.
The Germans are clearing house, evacuating all high ranking government officials with the attack on Belgrade imminent. Tasked with prisoner rescue and recovering the secret police's archive, Prle, Tihi and Mrki embark on a dangerous task.
