Valerie Leon was dubbed throughout the entire film by June Whitfield. Although the lip-syncing/ADR, and vocal styling choice of the two character voices June Whitfield uses, along with the sound recording acoustics, makes it hard to tell she's doing two voices, even in the same shot. Many years later, "Carry On" historian Robert Ross stated that when asked about it, Whitfield said she had no recollection of dubbing Leon's voice in this picture.
Four policemen were used to protect the shooting of Margaret Nolan's nude scene with Robin Askwith on Brighton beach, which was the first scene on location.
The fictional town of Fircombe is actually Brighton.
