Peter Cushing is said to "act as himself" in this movie. Cushing's wife had died recently, and he was very depressed. His character is a widower who uses an ouija board to talk with his dead wife. The dead wife is said to have been called "Helen" - the name of Cushing's real wife.
The role of Mr. Grimsdyke was, at first, a tiny non-speaking role, but was greatly expanded when Peter Cushing took an interest in the role.
"...And All Through the House" was remade by producer and director Robert Zemeckis as the second episode of Tales from the Crypt (1989).
Ralph Jason's (Richard Greene's) grand mansion house in the segment "Wish You Were Here" is the same house that featured as the London house of Gregory Peck and Lee Remick in The Omen (1976). It is Pyrford Court near Woking in Surrey.
