Doing what a wife who genuinely loved her husband should do.

Warning: Spoilers
It's nice to see a woman having faith in her man, certain that he's been framed after his death for being a crooked cop. Long haired beauty Lee Grant is stunned while mourning her fallen cop hubby Paul Burke when his boss, Jack Warden, reveals that he was on the take which is why he ended up being murdered. She won't rest until she clears his name, even if she has to prove that other cops had him framed.

A determined woman is a commanding woman, especially when her motives are noble, and for the Oscar winning Grant, she's certain with every breath in her body that he was a righteous man. Grant has discussions with everyone he was associated with, and she won't be condescended to. Among those she deals with are his friend Don Galloway, mobster Nehemiah Persoff and alluring moll Eartha Kitt. Grant gives a very strong performance, and is helped by a smart script. Definitely one of the best TV movies of the 1970's.
