According to Burstyn's autobiography "Lessons in Becoming Myself", Burstyn and Julia Anne Robinson fell off the back of the golf cart in the Miss America scene when Bruce Dern took off too fast. Robinson hit her head and spent a few days in the hospital as a result.

Marven Gardens is famous as a yellow property on the original version of the Monopoly game board, although the game misspelled the name as "Marvin Garden." It is the only property on the Monopoly board that is not located within Atlantic City.
