When JW is sitting on a bull, he is introduced to "Hot Pistol" whomever, and Larry Mahan; he asks for tips on riding the bull, and is told something about "marking him out"; there is no mark out rule in bull riding.
When the motorcycle cop pulls J. W. Coop over and asks him what is the year of the car he is driving, Coop replies that is a 1949. The car is actually a 1951 Hudson.
At the very end, when JW is being dragged off to the side of the arena, the cast is on his left leg. In the final shot of him lying on the side of the arena, the cast is gone.
