The entirety of the first two seasons are currently believed to no longer exist, although poor-quality off-air soundtrack recordings survive for the second season stories "Seven Serpents, Sulphur and Salt", "Nightmare Gas", and "The Eye of Ra" parts 2, 3, and 4. The third and final season survived in its entirety. Additionally, around nine minutes of a studio recording session for "Sisters Deadly" from this final run was discovered at the end of a tape Bob Monkhouse had purchased from Thames Television to record over in his personal television archive.
Ozymandias the owl's real name was Fred. He was privately-owned by Tony and Jeannette Travers of Sunbury-on-Thames in Surrey.
A DVD of all existing episodes was released by Network U.K. in July 2007 and featured a new documentary in three parts by classic television enthusiasts and experts Andrew Pixley and Simon Coward.
The theme song "Tarot", was composed by Andrew Bown and Trevor Preston, and performed by Bown (now a member of Status Quo). In 1970, it was released as a single: R 5856 on the Parlophone label. The B-side was Bown's solo composition "Lulli Rides Again".
