Interesting love triangle
Angel_Peter10 January 2019
The wife arrives at an abandoned temple where her husband lives with another woman. She have decided to win her husband back but things are really not going her way. Then they get company and the story what seemed to be a normal love triangle takes a turn.

I enjoyed this movie I found by a coincidence. Acting is good and story and dialog is fine. this movie is in my opinion not a masterpiece but well worth your time. But if you do expect this to be an action movie then you should choose something else. I would describe this as an drama about will against will. Who will outsmart the others and get what they desire.....

Sex And The Buddha

Hideko Takamine comes to an abandoned mountain temple. There her husband, Shintaro Katsu, and the prostitute, Michiyo Aratama, live an abandoned life. While they are off in another room, Miss Takamine eats all the food and uses all the firewood. While Katsu is off to the nearest village to steal food and water, a priest, Kei Sato arrives.

It's one of the weird, dark fantasies that the Japanese were so fond of, with the women being devils. Can the priest redeem the women, neither of whom seem to be models of exemplary behavior? Or will Miss Aratama destroy him by seducing him? It's stunningly shot by cinematographer Kazuo Miyagawa.
