Nathan Fillion's The Rookie is one of the most popular network dramas on TV, and eight of Nathan's co-stars from his previous series have made cameos on the police procedural. Fillion was first introduced to audiences as Captain Malcolm Reynolds, pilot of the spaceship Serenity and the leader of a band of smugglers in the 2002 series Firefly, which became a cult hit even though it was canceled by Fox after one season. Fillion went on to star as a famous mystery writer who helps the NYPD solve murder cases in the 2009 acclaimed series Castle, which aired for eight seasons on ABC.

Much has been made of titles being quietly removed from HBO Max over the last few week, but while the number of films departing the service in September is substantial, at least subscribers have a heads up.

As is the case every month, various movies are due to leave HBO Max in September, and below we’ve got the full list of which films are leaving and when so you can prioritizing some viewing options. Noteworthy removals include the 2021 Warner Bros. thriller “The Little Things” starring Denzel Washington (leaving Sept. 16), the 2020 “Freaky Friday” horror riff “Freaky,” Quentin Tarantino’s “Kill Bill” films, the “Lethal Weapon” franchise, “Super 8,” “Tootsie” and the Nancy Meyers classic “The Holiday.”

Warner Bros. Discovery has had a rough go of it recently. The newly-formed mega corporation’s decision to callously prune HBO Max’s servers of hours of content has led to mountains of bad PR and billions of dollars in market cap losses. Suffice it to say, a jam-packed list of new HBO Max releases for September 2022 would provide some welcome relief for the “House of the House of the Dragon.”

Unfortunately, HBO Max’s new releases this month are uncommonly light. It’s impossible to say whether this is the result of more Wbd meddling or simply some bad scheduling luck but either way it’s not going to make any executives’ seats less warm. There are only a handful of notable originals this month, led by season 2 of the Spanish language comedy Los Espookys on Sept. 16. That is joined by a pair of documentaries, Escape from Kabul on Sept.

Hosted by comedian Tiffany Haddish, “Kids Say The Darndest Things” is a rollicking and unscripted American comedy Television series featuring three to 14-year-old kids.

You can binge-watch seasons one and two on CBS and Amazon Prime Video. Season one has 12 episodes, and season two is packed with eight episodes hilarious enough to keep the audience members in stitches.

Unfortunately, the show has not been released on Netflix yet, but BuddyTV will keep you updated if and when that changes.

Judd Bernard, the producer and screenwriter behind films such as “Point Blank” and “Double Trouble,” died Jan. 25 in Burbank, Calif., his family confirmed to Variety. He was 94.

Bernard was born in 1927, and grew up in Chicago. He attended University of Wisconsin, and after graduation moved to New York City to become a band leader and then a publicist. As a publicist, he worked with Billie Holiday, Stanley Kramer, Louis B. Mayer, David Selznick and Ben Hecht, among others.

Bernard would begin his career as a producer in 1967 with the Elvis Presley musical film “Double Trouble.” While working on the film as a co-producer, he met Patricia Casey, who served an assistant on the film. He and Casey married shortly afterwards and moved to London together. “EastSiders” is an Emmy-nominated dark comedy about a gay couple and their friends in Silver Lake, Calif. For creator/star Kit Williamson, the seven-year journey of making the series — which began as a $2,000 self-financed project, and ended with its fourth and final season dropping on Netflix back in December — has been an education. Along the way, he’s shared his insights with IndieWire about why actors should consider making a web series, what you need to consider before starting an indie series, his secrets to successfully crowdfunding, and how he sold the series to Netflix. In the top 20 list of the biggest ever grossing films worldwide, six are Harry Potter titles. The music for the film series has featured the work of the cream of film composers including John Williams (who received Academy Award nominations for two films in the series), Patrick Doyle, Nicholas Hooper and Alexandre Desplat. This unique collection of new recordings by The City Of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra brings together the music from all eight films for the very first time.

Let me emphasize what is set forth above, that this is not a collection of tracks from previously released soundtracks, but rather is a new recording, both a digest and expansion of each of the themes.

Music is an intricate part of movie making, and it is absolutely necessary to make sure that the composer should have a firm grasp on whatever genre the film is. This is especially true when you’re bringing a book or series of books that is loved by millions to life on the big screen. The trouble is finding the right composer when dealing with the magical world of Harry Potter. The seven books of the series were transformed into eight beautiful films – if not always adhering to the source material one hundred percent – and creating the musical soundscape was just as important as the sets, costumes, actors, or special effects. The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra have taken some of the finer selections from these eight films and presented them brilliantly in a new collection that is a treat for any Harry Potter fanatic.
