-
Cliff Donner : Are you the owner?
Stanley Krumley : Guilty, man.
Cliff Donner : If you don't dig the sound, why do you live here?
Stanley Krumley : That's what I keep asking myself.
-
Cliff Donner : You owned a swinging club in London awhile ago, right?
Stanley Krumley : I did, in deed. Yes. The Soho Go-Go.
-
Cliff Donner : My favorites of the '40s album hit the shops. I became an overnight-has-been at the age of 24.
Stanley Krumley : Yes, I suppose the kids turn you off when they had to share you with Mom and Dad.
Cliff Donner : Yeah.
Stanley Krumley : I suppose you're not interested in a place where you could make the scene again. Huh?
Cliff Donner : Nope. I'm through with that bag.
-
Cliff Donner : [to Hallie] I didn't dig it; but, everybody else sure did. You had them wailin' in here.
Stanley Krumley : Yes! The kids were flipping.
-
Stanley Krumley : You two would be the wildest together!
-
Stanley Krumley : Tony, I've got something really groovy! I think you'll be interested.
-
Hallie Rodgers : Is he really your brother, Stan?
Stanley Krumley : Well, either that or one of us was suckled by a very kind stranger.
-
Stanley Krumley : The only question you got to ask yourself is: how badly do I need this whole bag?
-
Stanley Krumley : Oh, he's just a baby. I'm not defending him, mind you. But, I've never seen him so shaken up since Dad paddled his bare behind with my track shoe.
Hallie Rodgers : But, I thought you said that he never got caught at anything?
Stanley Krumley : He didn't! No, Dad just liked to make him cry.
-
Stanley Krumley : Nobody likes to get caught with their finger in the pie. That's what used to happen to me all the time. When Tony and I were kids. Tony put his finger in the pie and get away with it. When I did it, Mum would have me by the ear.
Hallie Rodgers : Well, he picked the wrong pie this time. Because, when I get my hand on his ear, he's gonna look like Van Gogh!
-
Tony Krum : Brother, find Hallie. Talk to her. Tell her - I'm sorry.
Stanley Krumley : She won't believe that.
Tony Krum : Well, tell her I'll never do it again.
Stanley Krumley : She won't believe *that*!
Tony Krum : Tell her I'm sick.
Stanley Krumley : That she might believe.
-
Stanley Krumley : Hey, it's a great number! How about trying it out on Whiz Bam?
Dee Dee Howitzer : Yeah, it's a grabber.
Tony Krum : Yeah, it's outta sight. It's got soul. Good for the image.
