Enjoyable re-edited version of the 1936 serial "Flash Gordon: Space Soldiers." Planet Mongo is on a collision course with earth, so it's up to Flash Gordon, Dale Arden and Dr. Alexis Zarkov to blast off into space and thwart the diabolical plans of the evil Emperor Ming the Merciless. Spaceships, swashbuckling sword fights, and terrifically campy sets and costumes make this a pretty irresistible film for anyone who likes old timey versions of "Star Wars."
