Sex & Nudity

  • Two ladies talk about a dress that has flowers across the (they hesitate to say) "bosoms." This becomes a gag a few minutes later when Luther tries to describe the same dress to a pretty girl and stops himself before referring to "bosoms."
  • A bank secretary is greeted by a bank manager who repetitively remarks about how much he likes her sweater (possibly referring to her chest, but would be missed by most child viewers).
  • The main character likes somebody. As it is an older movie, there are no sexual or nude scenes.
  • 2 lip kisses and one on the cheek.

Violence & Gore

  • A painting of a woman is shown with shears stabbing the painting on the woman's neck with a stream of blood running down the painting.
  • A very old, dusty pipe organ is shown with dried blood drops on the keys.
  • A drunk Calver Weems gets hit on the head once with a wooden plank and is knocked out. No blood or wound are shown.
  • There is one scene with blood. No fighting is involved. It is implied that there was murder in the haunted house..

Profanity

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Drunken man in opening scene. Pipe smoking.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • There are several instances in the haunted house of jump scares, both audio and visual. There aren't too many, but they are sudden and can be frightening to younger viewers. The ambient music and sounds can be a little frightening, though there is nothing too extreme, as this is a G rated movie.
  • A woman sees Calver Weems get hit on the head and she hysterically and repeatedly screams, "Murder!"
  • Hostage situation. Gun drawn.
  • The haunted house scene may be scary to younger children. There is a scene in the haunted house where a picture of a woman is stabbed in the throat with garden shears. Blood is shown. (This is the only scene with blood.)
