Elvis Presley‘s Graceland visitors regularly leave tokens at the King of Rock and Roll’s gravesite. Many items, from teddy bears to flowers, have been placed upon Presley’s grave. However, when Paul McCartney visited the rock and roll icon’s home, he left a touching tribute behind. Here are all the details.
What was the tribute Paul McCartney placed at Elvis Presley’s grave?
Paul McCartney visited Elvis Presley’s Graceland home in 2013. He toured the premises, seeing how the King of Rock and Roll lived during the almost 20 years he occupied the Memphis estate.
All Graceland tours end at the Meditation Garden. This is where Presley, his father Vernon, his mother Gladys, and grandmother Minnie May are buried. In 2020, Presley’s grandson Benjamin Keough was interred opposite his grave, followed by his daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, in 2023.

It's fair to say that Padmé Amidala is one of the "Star Wars" saga's most underappreciated characters. She played something of a thankless role throughout the prequel trilogy; while she's probably known best as Anakin Skywalker's romantic foil, she was so much more in the grand scheme.
Much ink has been spilled on Padmé's importance to the Galactic Republic, especially in "Episode II — Attack of the Clones." It's her fierce independence and general aversion to authority that made her such a threat to then-chancellor Palpatine. Most of his dastardly plans include efforts to remove Padmé entirely from the equation, either through the invasion of Naboo in "The Phantom Menace," or through a handful of assassination attempts.
Fortunately, Padmé managed to stick around longer than anyone expected her to. Her presence was a welcome challenge to the tyranny of the fledgling Empire, but also to the prequels' overwhelmingly male ensemble.

Elvis Presley adored the Christmas holiday season. It was a time for fun, excitement, family caroling, and over-the-top decorating. It was a month when Elvis relaxed and enjoyed his time off the road and in the recording studio. Graceland’s Christmas decorations typically remain until the first week of January. However, one year, Elvis’ dad, Vernon, left the family Christmas tree up until spring for one sweet reason.
Graceland’s Christmas decorations were important to Elvis Presley
Elvis Presley purchased Graceland, a 13.8-acre estate, for just over $100,000 in 1957. When he made the purchase, Presley was busy working on his second motion picture, Loving You.
Elvis placed a $1,000 deposit down as collateral. He quickly sought to secure the property with a stone wall and the home’s infamous music gates.

Wet Leg, Jason Isbell, Tegan and Sara, and more have contributed to Noise for Now: Vol. 1, an upcoming compilation album benefitting abortion access. It arrives on November 24th as part of Record Store Day 2023.
Noise for Now is also the name of the non-profit that helmed the compilation, and their work has become even more pertinent since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade in June 2022. The organization launched their eponymous record label to release their first album, which also features exclusive songs from Sleater-Kinney, My Morning Jacket, Fleet Foxes, Cat Power, and more.
Many of these songs were also featured on Good Music to Ensure Safe Abortion Access to All, another benefit compilation from 2022 that was only available as a Bandcamp download for one day. Noise for Now: Vol. 1, however, will be a vinyl-only release, pressed on clear wax and packaged with a “Liberate Abortion” print by Sonic Youth’s Kim Gordon.

Leading up to the Grammy nominations on Nov. 10, Rolling Stone is breaking down 16 different categories. For each, we’re predicting the nominees, as well as who will (and who should) win on Grammy night.
Americana is a wide-open category, partly because it’s hard to define. “I always look at half of the folk category and think they are more Americana than half of the Americana nominees,” says Nelson Gullett, an Americana radio veteran and music director at Wdvx in Knoxville. And as the nomination of Jackson Browne’s Downhill...

Ahead of its release on June 23rd via Silver Knife/Ato, Shires has shared their spin on George Gershwin’s “Summertime,” featuring none other than Nelson’s brother Willie Nelson.
Loving You comprises 10 beloved classic tunes reimagined by Shires and Nelson, including “Dream a Little Dream of Me,” “Over the Rainbow,” and of course, “Loving You.” Recorded in Austin, the record is billed as Shires’ “mission to pay respect to the only woman she saw working in a band and pursuing a career as a sideman.”

Visitors to Elvis Presley‘s Graceland home are drawn to several critical aspects of the Memphis estate. First, the mansion itself, set back in a nook of trees, with acres of stunning property surrounding it. Second is the meditation garden, where the king of rock and roll and his family are laid to rest. Third, and perhaps one of the most iconic, is the music gates, which were installed for one fundamental reason on April 22, 1957.

Following up his five-film anthology Small Axe, Steve McQueen’s next narrative feature is Blitz, which will tell the story of Londoners during WWII in 1940 as they endure the German bombing campaign known as The Blitz, which lasted for eight months. With production set to kick off this fall, Deadline now reports that Apple has picked up the rights.
Apple also closed a major deal to acquire Joseph Kosinski’s forthcoming Formula One racing movie led by Brad Pitt. THR reports as part of the deal, the film will receive at least a 30-day theatrical window with a distributor partner to come on board, which seems like a no-brainer following the box office success of Kosinski’s Top Gun: Maverick. Scripted by Ehren Kruger, the Sir Lewis Hamilton-backed film will follow a driver who comes out of retirement to compete alongside a rookie driver and the titans of the sport.

It’s been a year since the Television Academy put a halt to officially sanctioned Emmy For Your Consideration events, due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Now, they’re set to finally return next week — but virtually, of course.
Emmy FYC events make a comeback on March 24 with two events at 7 p.m. Pt. Nat Geo will kick things off with a dual panel for its unscripted adventure series “Running Wild” (hosted by Bear Grylls) and the new competition “Race to the Center of the Earth,” from the executive producers behind “The Amazing Race.”
At the same time, the Netflix documentary series “Immigration Nation” will also hold its own virtual panel.
Netflix is also behind most of the other already confirmed panels: “Lenox Hill”, “Indian Matchmaking”, “Deaf U”, “Somebody Feed Phil” and “The Social Dilemma”. Also, already confirmed for an FYC event is Fox’s “Call Me Kat” on April 9 at 7 p.

Merging radically different genres is always a tricky business, and most of the time, takes a very steady directorial hand to accomplish the desired balance. In the case of “Loving You”, Johnnie To attempts to combine a crime thriller with a melodramatic romance. Let us see how he fares.
Inspector Lau Chun-hoi is the embodiment of the anti-hero. While he is very courageous and a workaholic, he also mistreats his colleagues and particularly his underlings, he drinks, he is a womanizer, and constantly ignores his wife who desperately tries to maintain an emotional connection with him. As the film begins, his interactions with a drug dealer named Gwan become the beginning of Lau’s downward spiral. Their second meeting, during which the villain exploits all of his faults and his frustration from learning that his wife is carrying the child of another man, to trap him, ends...

In a first for The Voice, Tuesday’s Semi-Final Results Show advanced to the finale the top vote-getter from each of Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and Nick Jonas’ teams as opposed to the top four vote-getters overall. The remaining five singers then competed for Season 18’s last Instant Save.

Hunter Hayes builds his new song “Wild Blue” around a percussive groove, singing over subtle piano about how the 27-year-old songwriter is undergoing a personal sea change. “Funny how you don’t know you can fly until you finally catch the wind,” he sings. “You think you know the part you play until somebody goes and rewrites the script.”
And then it all explodes, with Hayes delivering a soaring, cathartic guitar solo before the song returns to its subdued piano origin. The title track off Hayes’ just announced new album,...

If there’s a universal suggestion in songwriting, it’s to “write what you know,” since discerning listeners will quickly poke holes in disingenuous songs. Singer-songwriter Ian Noe doesn’t have that problem. His first full-length album, Between the Country, due May 31st, personifies the real, rural and sometimes downtrodden communities of Kentucky and Appalachia at large.
Noe knows this land and its hardworking inhabitants as well as anyone who’s ever claimed the Bluegrass State as home. He possesses a deep understanding of people’s unyielding vices, underlying motives and destructive weaknesses,...
