WHY AREN'T THERE MORE MOVIES LIKE THIS?
Only twice before in our long history of picture making have we taken this means of recommending a motion picture to you.
Our endorsement of "From Here To Eternity" was justified by the cheers of millions who saw it---and by the eight Academy Awards it won.
Next we recommended "The Caine Mutiny." Your enthusiastic response made it one of the great successes in the history of motion pictures.
And now we again urge you to see a new production---"The Eddy Duchin Story"---which stars Tyrone Power, Kim Novak and an exciting new discovery Victoria Shaw, and co-stars a brilliant youngster, Rex Thompson, and James Whitmore, with an excellent supporting cast headed by Shepperd Strudwick.
I have seen the picture countless times. It never fails to more me. Lavishly produced in CinemaScope and Technicolor by Jerry Wald and superbly directed by George Sidney, based on a story by Leo Katcher and a screenplay by Samuel Taylor, this is a production that I am confident you, too, will find a memorable emotional experience---the kind that makes you say, "Why aren't there more movies like this?"
I recommend to you---without reservations---"The Eddy Duchin Story"

Coming Soon! Essaness Woods, Randolph at Dearborn
