  • During a outing in the countryside, after Jane puts her hand in Bill's, he kisses her passionately. They spend some time laying close together and talking.

  • There are several physical assaults during the film, two of which result in unintentional deaths. None of the assaults are bloody but one is sudden and shocking. While bare-chested, Bill is flogged in prison while strapped to a frame as part of his sentence; afterwards, he is seen in pain, lying on his stomach in hospital. Fending off his assault, a man is stabbed with scissors by a woman.
