Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Violence & Gore

  • Two men struggle with each other and fall into the water. One man is seemingly killed when he is hit by a paddle boat.
  • A woman's dress catches on fire. She screams and a man tries to put it out, but she dies.
  • Pip sees convicts hanged in a public street from an office window and a crowd is heard cheering.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Although mostly off-screen, the scene of Miss Havisham's sudden and very painful death in particular is quite realistically played and distressing (even moreso when noticing that the main character apparently brings it about inadvertently).
