When Schlamm delivers the bag of sandwiches, he sets them down on a table and the paper bag is tall, thin and relatively smooth. In subsequent shots it is more crumpled and fatter.
When the escapees are being hunted, the only uniformed personnel we see chasing them are the 'Storm troopers' (Sturmabteilung) or SA. Even before the 'night of the Long Knives', the SA would not have been the only group to search for escapees & by 1936, the hunt would also have been carried out by the regular police and the Schutzstaffel (SS).
The film is set in 1936 but shows the Concentration Camp being run by the 'Storm troopers' (Sturmabteilung). The SA virtually ceased to exist following the 'night of the Long Knives'(Nacht der langen Messer), which occurred between June 30 and July 2, 1934. The SA did linger on after this but it was weakened and almost pointless, leaving the Schutzstaffel (SS) to take over most of its duties, including camp administration, etc.
The children of the Hitler Youth are wearing the armbands of adult members of the Nazi Party and not the Hitler Youth. The swastika would not be in a white disc surrounded by red but in a white square on a red band with a white stripe in the middle. This scene was when one of the prisoners was found and was dragged out of a hiding place with the children all running to see.
When Toni goes up to her dark room and turns up the oil lamp, the small stove in the background also lights up from within at the same time.
The six-pointed star with with "Jude" written upon it seen on the escaping Jewish grocer at the beginning of the film was not mandated for Jews within Germany until September 1, 1941 - roughly four years after the time of this film. Jews in concentration camps at this time wore a single yellow inverted triangle, and often had another upright triangle sewn over it to indicate another reason for their incarceration.
When Fuellgrabe says to George "this is an evil world", his mouth movements do not match the words.
When Bruno Sauer turns away from the mirror when shaving to face Paul, a shadow of the boom microphone moves with him across the top of the frame.
Near the end of the movie Toni is lamenting that she will never see George and her memory of him will fade and she will forget what he looks like, but she has a newspaper photo of him on the table.
