Alice O'Fredericks and Lauritzen had a lucky hand with this fast comedy where Marguerite Viby got the opportunity to show all her lively talents. It was also made in a Swedish version, and that film premiered six months before the Danish counterpart. The film owes a great deal to American comedies with Carole Lombard, Katherine Hepburn and Cary Grant, and their speedy performances had an appealing effect upon the flow of action of Danish films, which was often very slow paced. Ebbe Rode has a part of a dull character being entangled in the action around the fast spirited Viby. When given the opportunity Ebbe Rode could be everything from nasty hoodlums, tragic human individuals as well as funny sidekicks with brilliant performances all along. Viby could do better with a bit more restrain, but you get carried along by her exuberant girlish performance. As is the case in the foreign counterparts there are a lot of gag situations delivered by a number of talented character actors. The directors have come a long way compared to their superficial comedies of the Thirties.
