This is one of the "streamliners" produced by Hal Roach in the '40s. He thought this new format of short features running roughly 45 minutes was the wave of the future. He was so sure that he discontinued the Our Gang and Laurel & Hardy series.
This film is a sequel to Miss Polly (1941). Both were Hal Roach "streamliners", intended to be the second half of a double bill. When some exhibitors refused to show double features, Roach combined these two films into one regular feature-length picture under this title.
This film was first telecast in New York City on Saturday 2 October 1948 on WPIX (Channel 11), in Los Angeles Tuesday 4 January 1949 on KTLA (Channel 5), in Salt Lake City Sunday 29 May 1949 on KDYL (Channel 4), in Philadelphia Sunday 31 July 1949 on WCAU (Channel 10), and in Detroit Wednesday 14 September 1949 on WXYZ (Channel 7), as part of its newly acquired series of three dozen Hal Roach feature film productions, originally theatrically released between 1931-43 and now being syndicated for television broadcast by Regal Television Pictures.
Final film of Lois Lindsay.
