Violence & Gore

Mild
58 of 118 found this mild
When looking at different newspapers, Kane talks about a headline saying a woman is missing and is presumed dead, it is a brief scene with not much effect on the plot.
One reference to suicide and one scene showing an unconscious character found after taking strong medicine and being inspected by a doctor.
A man slaps a woman in the face.
A man threatens to break someone's neck.
A boy shoves a sled into a man's stomach, knocking him into the snow.
After his second wife walks out on him, Kane goes berserk and tears her bedroom apart.

Profanity

None
103 of 108 found this to have none
Swearing is non-existent in this movie.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

Mild
79 of 106 found this mild
A man asks another man to smuggle some cigars into a hospital for him, and to trick the nurses into thinking it is a tube of toothpaste, the scene is played for laughs.
A drunk character confronts another, and later is seen passed out with a bottle by him.
Smoking and some casual drinking throughout

Frightening & Intense Scenes

None
81 of 111 found this to have none
A scene transition features an unexpected appearance of a bird, accompanied by a loud and sudden squawk.
Most outside night shots of Xanadu are very surreal and extremely dark and foggy, and might be somewhat disturbing to some.
Orson Welles acts as the character of Charlie Kane in Citizen Kane really well, so the character of Kane's transition in personality may shock some but is not really scary due to the movie's genre.
