Paramount was able to eke out three additional B films from material in J. Edgar Hoover's best seller: "Undercover Doctor"(1939, "Parole Fixer" (1940), and "Queen of the Mob" (1940).
This film was partly based on the exploits of Clyde Barrow and Bonnie Parker.
The film was also partly based on Ma Barker and the Barker Brothers.
One of over 700 Paramount Productions, filmed between 1929 and 1949, which were sold to MCA/Universal in 1958 for television distribution, and have been owned and controlled by Universal ever since.
