• Charles Beaumont : [escorting Madeleine to be wedded to Neil]  I love you, Madeleine, more than anything else in this whole world, dear. Heaven or hell lies in this little moment for me.   Madeline : Don't, please.

  Charles Beaumont : Don't go into that room. We can be in Port-au-Prince in half an hour. There's a boat sailing at midnight.

  Madeline : You've been so wonderful. Don't spoil everything now.

  Charles Beaumont : But what if they regain their souls?

  Legendre : They would tear me to pieces. But that, my friend, shall never be.
