Sex & Nudity

  • A woman's nipple is seen to be partially exposed for a few seconds, as it has slipped out of her dress. This moment is very brief, non-sexual, and somewhat hard to notice, although it also occurs during a close-up of the actress.
  • A woman is briefly shown modeling for an artist. She is wearing an apron-like long covering over the front part of her body but doesn't seem to be wearing anything underneath, with the exception of a skirt or lower garment; the scene only shows her bare back.

Violence & Gore

  • A character is bitten by a snake, and while the bite itself isn't shown, there is a brief glimpse of the resulting bloody wound.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • There is a brief scene only lasting a few seconds in which a young woman is shown to be suffering from an unspecified illness.
  • The atmosphere of the film can be somewhat frightening and suspenseful at times. But no jump scares or anything overtly scary.

Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Violence & Gore

  • The film includes a scene where a man threatens to commit suicide if he doesn't receive the love of a woman. He is presumed to have followed through on this threat and his car is shown driving off of a cliff. Later in the movie, the man's body is described as being "horribly mutilated." The woman goes to see his deceased body, which is shown but covered with a sheet, with a few spots of blood visible.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • It is reveled that a man had faked his own death after he was presumed to have committed suicide.
  • In a scene close to the end of the movie, Claire Lescot (Georgette Leblanc), the main character, is bitten by a snake after a deliberate act by her jealous husband. The bloody bite wound is shown, as well as her painful facial reaction. She is presumed to have died, but is saved by a friend later on.
