This is a lost Keystone Film Company short that featured Mabel Normand and Charlie Chaplin. The only synopsis I could find is very brief, but sounds like the typical Keystone comedy storyline. Chaplin plays a bandit who captures Count De Beans ( Charles Murray ) and impersonates him at a fancy high class party at the home of Miss De Rock ( Mabel Normand ). The usual crude social blunders and catastrophes transpire from the antics of the bandit ( Charlie Chaplin ) before the police arrive.
This is the only completed and released Charlie Chaplin film that is not believed to exist in any form. Furthermore, there is an element of doubt about this film, whether Her Friend the Bandit can truly be considered a Charlie Chaplin film.
