Horror titans Blumhouse and director Christopher Landon—who collaborated on Happy Death Day and Freaky—are back with a high-concept thriller about the perils of AirDrop. Meghann Fahy (“The White Lotus,” “The Perfect Couple”) is the unfortunate recipient of some disturbing phone drops during a date with the charming (but mysterious) Brandon Sklenar (It Ends With Us, "1923”). If you leave your thinking caps at home and never probe the absurd premise, it’s an entertaining time at the movies. The real bright spot here is Fahy, who carries the film and proves she’s deserving of a lead role. Trigger warning: If you find looking at your phone during dinner rude, this movie may send you over the edge.
