Gradually, the nice guys gain the edge over the bullies, by honest endeavor and standing up for themselves - and in doing so, win over the other kids, even Tiffany. Until the bullies frame them and have them expelled.
- A railroad man from the city befriends a mountain girl in a Kentucky family feud.
- In Kentucky just after the Civil War, the Hayden-Colby feud leads to Jed Colby being sent to prison for 15 years for murder. - Canadian Tom Merritt has discovered a substance, Compound X, that will cure infantile paralysis, which he extracts from a mine at Caribou, Canada. A country at war with Canada (unnamed because while Canada and the British Empire were at war with Germany, the USA "officially" wasn't in 1940) discovers that Compound X also contains magnetic properties which will make their mines effective against the British fleet, and dispatch one of their intelligence officers, John Kettler, to work undercover to ensure a steady stream of Compound X for the Fatherland. RCMP Major Ross King is killed in a fray against Kettler's henchmen, and his son, RCMP Sergeant Dave King continues on in his place in command of the Mountie post. The foreign agents open a "sham" sanitarium, supposedly to help paralysis victims, but actually to ship the gathered quantities of Compound X abroad to their warring country. Sergeant King discovers the fraud and exposes "Dr. Shelton", the sham head of the hospital. The Mounties also secure some fuse caps which will provide proof that Kettler and his men are saboteurs. In an effort to recover the fuse caps, the enemy agents kidnap Linda Merritt, sister of RCMP Corporal Tom Merritt,Jr.. King and the Mounties eventually put an end to the enemy agents in chapter 12, "Code of the Mounted", but not without a great personal sacrifice by one of their own.

Lucky Kerrigan is broken from the mounted service for apparent disobedience to orders, which results in the death of a fellow Mountie. Lucky, working undercover, aids the Mounties in rounding up the gang and gains back his uniform, and also the love of Gabrielle Renaud (Adele Mara), Renaud's sister who was unaware of his criminal activities.
- Retired actor Jack Holt is raising Christmas trees for sale at a cost which permits every family to have one. A commercial tree company tries to drive Holt out of business. Roy saves the day, of course.
- Betty Foster (Margaret O'Brien), a high school student, has a crush on Bobby Evans (Allen Martin Jr.), who is more interested in sports than girls. Betty and her kid brother,Herbie (Jimmy Hunt), follow Bobby and Lucille Stewart (Elinor Donahue), Betty's competitor in the pursuit of Bobby. Betty's efforts to have Bobby crowned King of the Camp, and win his lover, almost ruin her father, Joe Foster (Arthur Space), financially.

- The kidnappers of Herbert Scott have been paid the demanded ransom but have not returned Scott. The police chief suspects Larry Scott, the spendthrift nephew, but an opposing view is held by Morrison, federal operator in charge of the case. He assigns Betty Mason, his best woman operative, to the case.
- Dr. Bill Crawford, on a hunting trip to Canada, is attacked by a bear and his guide, Joe Easter, saves his life and takes the badly-mauled Crawford to his cabin home, where he lives with his beautiful young wife, Alverna. Leaning Bill there to recover, Joe goes on a prolonged hunting trip and Bill and Alverna fall in love. The local doctor, Billar, dies during an operation which Bill completes and then decides to remain in Lost Lake and continue his practice there...close to Alverna. The lovers decide that, in fairness to Joe, Bill must return to his former city. But an epidemic of streptococcus breaks out in the Lost Lake village. Bill, untrained in the ways of the primeval woods, sets out in a raging blizzard, in search of the messenger who had been sent to the nearest town for a special serum needed to break the epidemic. Fearing for his life, Alverna follows him and they find the messenger dead in his automobile, with the serum by his side. Exhausted they stagger into a deserted cabin and drowse into unconsciousness. Meanwhile, Joe, back from his hunting trip, is persuaded by the village gossips that his wife has run off with Bill. He starts after them, in his dog-sled, with murder in his heart.
- Two men in a deserted area without knowing how they got there, are trying to escape from an unknown force that pursues them. They soon discover that a secret government experiment is responsible for their situation.
- The annual return of the salmon each year gives the Indians of the Northwest enough food to last until the next year. This way of live is threatened by Banning who puts in a cannery on the river to harvest the fish for sale. With the Canadian cannery on the other side, the Indians find no fish in the river for them. But Banning wants all the fish for his business and he plans to burn the Canadian cannery and put the blame on Chief Nagora. But Indian Agent Roy knows that Nagora is being framed and starts looking for the people responsible with the help of his blood brother Dakota.
- Fort McKenzie prospector Pop Kellogg, just before the arrival of his newly-orphaned grandson Billy, is killed by McBeau and Dawson, who seek the map showing Pop's secret oil claim. Billy, the now newly-doubled-orphaned grandson, is being escorted to Fort McKenzie by Corporal Rod Webb of the Canadian Mounties and his Wonder Dog, Chinook. Webb turns Billy over to the keeping of Anne DuMere, who runs the trading post for Dan Morgan. After several attempts on his life, Rod and Ann manage to link Morgan and a mineralogist, Kincaid, to the LeBeau/Dawson gang, which is now minus Dawson who has been knocked over a cliff to his death by Chinook.
- Alan and his pregnant wife, Amy, plan to spend a quiet weekend at their isolated vacation home in the woods. They are joined by two other couples, Bill and Sheri and then Charles and Liz. Suddenly they're confronted by two gun-toting killers, Bobby and Red. The three couples try to accommodate the killers' demands but tensions climb and violence erupts.
- Mine owner Jackson Decker orders his manager to obtain Tom Bailey's milling machinery no matter what the cost. When Bailey is found murdered, suspicion naturally falls upon the mine owner and his son, a Canadian Mountie, is ordered to find the real culprit. He joins forces with a French-Canadian constable, Bailey's beautiful daughter and a phony palm reader to learn the truth and discovers a secret gold mine, a double-crossing casino owner and a forger at the bottom of the conspiracy.
- A sweet little country girl has issues with school. Her mother is ill. The school threatens to send her to an orphanage.
- Because of a fight at a dog show between "Smoky" and "Shadow", Alsatian Shepherd dogs, owned and trained by Judy Weston, "Smoky" loses first prize. Judy sells "Shadow", but Ben, the trainer, smuggles him into the plane taking them back to Canada. They crash in a snow storm and "Smoky", freed from his crate, escapes. Shadow, with a broken leg, manages to free himself and bring help to Judy and Ben, who are unconscious. Fox-camp owner Rod Freeman and his son Billy rescue them. Judy offers a reward for "Smoky." Mort Gunning and "Red" Fargo, fur hijackers, find "Smoky" and train him to steal pelts, and they tell Judy that "Smoky" has been killed by wolves. The fur-trappers now think that "Shadow" is doing the stealing and threaten to shoot him.
- Cpl. Jim of the R.C.M.P. is taking his daughter Julie to school in Edmonton on the Arctic Queen. Six men hold up the boat when they stop for wood and gun down Jim in front of his daughter. The new inspector sends Alan after them, but has him split his unit. This leaves Alan short and they are ambushed and forced to bring back his wounded comrade. At Fort Endurance, Alan is confined to quarters for not arresting Dave when some of the stolen furs are found in his shed. Elizabeth lies about Dave being part of the gang to have Alan thrown out of the Mounties. When the other Mounties go out on a long chase, the only chance Alan and Bill have in finding the bandits is to take the forestry plane and search the lakes and rivers.
- Tad Summers, son of mountain lodge owner Jim Summers, sees Roger Wharton kill his supposed best friend. Tad tells his father, who doesn't believe him, but Linda Wharton, Roger's wife, does and taunts him into a confession. Roger sets out to get rid of the boy.
- Two friends in the Klondike come to the aid of settlers who are being terrorized by an outlaw gang.
- Gail Pyne leaves her grandfather Jedediah's lakeside cabin, where "Jed" manufactures rifles and bullets, to work with commercial artist Curt Hayden, a widower. In the parking garage of their office, Curt and Gail witness a gangland murder and robbery. Curt uses his talent as an artist to draw portraits for the police of the robbers, Baldy, Trim and Trigger Benson. Trigger Benson is arrested, but when Curt arrives at the courthouse to testify, Baldy and Trim shoot him, hoping to eliminate the witness. Curt survives, however, and gives testimony from his hospital bed, after which Gail convinces him to take his young son Johnny, to Jedediah's cabin to recuperate. Curt reluctantly complies, and they all settle into the homey cabin. Johnny, who is jealous of Curt and Gail's growing love for each other, becomes a fast friend of Jed, who promises to make a child-size rifle for him and teach him how to shoot, as he did for Gail. Unknown to Curt, the soap company for whom he is creating an advertisement is a front for Baldy and Trim, who, having knocked-off one of their accomplices, now plan to get rid of Curt. They use his correspondence to locate him. When Curt proposes to Gail, they decide to get married the next day. Jedediah locks up the house, and they all bundle into the car headed for the county seat. Johnny slips out of the car at the last minute unnoticed, unhappy over the prospect of a new mother, and stays behind at the cabin. No one notices his absence until they arrive at the minister's. They decide to return to the cabin after they are married, but in the meantime, Baldy and Trim have infiltrated the house and are keeping a watchful eye on Johnny. When they are asleep, he manages to plug their guns up with bullet lubricant, but does not realize until it is too late that they still have handguns. Curt, Gail and Jedediah arrive in the morning to find Johnny in the grasp of one of the killers. Trim is knocked down by the backfire of his rifle when he tries to shoot, and Gail, an expert marksman, uses a rifle that Jed never got a chance to deliver and shoots Baldy, while Johnny is in his arms. Johnny is unharmed and has gained a new respect for his new mother. With the gangsters finally out of the way, they are now one happy family.
- Crooks discover a Genghis Khan treasure ship on the Canada-Alaska border but the treasure is hidden somewhere on land. In their efforts to find the hidden treasure they resort to murder and sabotage to stop the construction of the Alcan highway which will bring homesteaders to the area. Sergeant Royal of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police battles through 12 episodes to find the crooks and to learn the identity of their mysterious leader known only as 'The Boss'.
- When Sue Bixby becomes his new boss, stagecoach robber Talbot reforms and goes after her rustled cattle. When he and his men are outnumbered fighting Lloyd's gang, Randall rides to get circus man Mahoney and his man shooting cannon.
- White Horse Rebels, under the command of a mystery villain known only as The Leader, attempt to create an independent "White Horse Republic" in Canada's north west. Funded by gold from the Marrow Mine, they attack Canadian settlements in the area. The North-West Mounted Police, represented primarily by hero Sgt. Ward and his sidekick Constable Nevin are, work to top the rebels and discover The Leader's real identity. An added complication comes in the form of First Nations, Blackfeet driven into Canada from the United States, who attack both sides and whom the rebels attempt to use as scapegoats for their own attacks.
- A brother and sister are running a phony gold mine scam in the Klondike, which leads to murder. A Canadian Mountie sets out to bring them to justice.
- Timmy, a crippled youngster, and his grandfather live an idyllic existence on a remote farm, where Timmy enjoys the company of many wildlife friends. One night, their peace is disturbed by the arrival of armored car robber Johnny Nelson, his girl friend, Midge Gray, and sidekick, Bugs Mason, who are on the run not only from the police, but from gangster Menelli, who thinks that Johnny has double-crossed him. When Johnny, who intends to use the farm as a hideout until they can arrange to leave the country, passes out, Grandpa removes a bullet from his chest. Later, after Timmy takes them fishing and they meet many of his wildlife companions, Johnny and Midge begin to fall under the spell of the peaceful valley. However, Pretty Boy, one of Menelli's henchmen, finds them and tells Johnny that Menelli wants half of the robbery money. Johnny and Pretty Boy then struggle for possession of a gun, and Pretty Boy is killed. Later, Grandpa is escorted by Midge and Bugs to a nearby village to do some shopping and, upon his return, shows Johnny a poster he found at the post office, announcing a $10,000 reward for his capture. Police Chief Scott, who has been tailing Pretty Boy, comes to the cabin and confronts Johnny, but decides not to arrest him yet as he wants to recover the money, which Johnny has hidden. Later, Scott tells Johnny that Menelli has found out about Pretty Boy and is coming after him, and suggests that if he turns himself in, he may only receive a four-year sentence. Aware that the reward money could be claimed by Grandpa, who has been saving for an operation on Timmy's foot, Johnny agrees to consider this, as both he and Midge have grown fond of the youngster. However, Grandpa has a heart attack while plowing and, before dying, asks Johnny to take care of Timmy. Johnny and Bugs decide to give themselves up, but as they are about to leave, Menelli and his men show up and kill Bugs. Menelli is about to kill Johnny, but is distracted by a bear cub, which he then shoots. After the cub's mother attacks and kills Menelli, Johnny gives himself up. The next day, as Johnny leaves with Scott, Timmy and Midge tell him that they will wait for his return.
- Sadie owns a riverboat that gold-miners are using to travel to their claims, while gambling and drinking on the way. The Yukon Mining Company sends Thorne to take over Sadie's boat and then cheat the miners out of their claims.
